Brandon Powell WR | MIN
Brandon Powell: Signs with Rams' practice squad
Powell signed with the Rams' practice squad Friday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Powell was recently on the Dolphins' practice squad, but the 26-year-old wideout last saw game action with the Falcons in 2020. Over his career, he has played in 21 games and tallied 23 catches on 35 targets for 198 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Ty Montgomery WR | NE
Saints' Ty Montgomery: Will not play Sunday
Montgomery (hamstring) will not play Sunday against the Falcons.
Montgomery never hit the practice field this week, so it's not surprising he'll be held out Sunday. It's likely Kenny Stills will have added opportunity to contribute in Week 9.

Darnell Mooney WR | NYG
Bears' Darnell Mooney: Pops up on injury report
Mooney was listed as a limited participant at Thursday's practice due to a groin injury.
Mooney had frequently been included on Chicago's injury reports through the first eight weeks of the season due to the groin issue, but he avoided the initial Week 9 report released Thursday before being added a day later. The Bears haven't provided an explanation behind Mooney's addition, but it could be indicative of a setback suffered during Friday's practice. Regardless, Chicago will see what the second-year wideout is able to do Saturday before deciding whether he'll carry an injury designation into Monday's game in Pittsburgh.

Odell Beckham Jr. WR | MIN
Browns' Odell Beckham: Set to be waived Monday
The Browns plan to place Beckham on waivers Monday, with the wideout first being eligible to be claimed Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Per Schefter, Beckham and the Browns have reworked his contract, and under the deal's new terms -- which are pending the NFLPA's approval -- the wideout would be scheduled to become a free agent after this season. That said, the report suggests that Beckham could go unclaimed Tuesday, in which case he would become a free agent in short order. Either way, the Browns have ruled out Beckham for Sunday's game against the Bengals, but he could be back in action for another team as soon as next weekend.

Robert Woods WR | PIT
Rams' Robert Woods: Appears on track to play Sunday
Woods (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Woods got back on the practice field Friday for the first time this week, but because he didn't take part in full drills, the Rams may have felt compelled to give him a designation heading into Sunday. Though the questionable tag implies a player has a 50-50 chance to play, head coach Sean McVay didn't provide any indication that Woods' status was up in the air, telling Cameron DaSilva of USA Today that the wideout is expected to play. Assuming he avoids the inactive list ahead of Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff, Woods will likely function as the No. 2 option in the Rams' passing game behind Cooper Kupp, who has emerged as the clear favorite target during Matthew Stafford's first season in Los Angeles.

DeAndre Hopkins WR | BAL
Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins: Viewed as game-day call
Hopkins (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest in San Francisco and is being viewed as a game-day decision by head coach Kliff Kingsbury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Since the Cardinals and 49ers won't kick off until 4:25 p.m. ET, fantasy managers planning on using Hopkins may have few alternatives at their disposal if the wideout ends up being sitting out or is limited in the contest. The latter scenario played out in the Cardinals' Week 8 loss to the Packers last Thursday, as Hopkins -- who had been nursing the hamstring injury coming into the contest -- played a season-low 24 percent of the team's offensive snaps and finished with two receptions for 66 yards. Though he had the benefit of a longer turnaround for the Week 9 contest, Hopkins doesn't seem to have made much notable progress in his recovery from the injury, as he was listed as a non-participant in practices Wednesday through Friday. Even if he manages to suit up Sunday and doesn't face any notable limitations with his snap count, Hopkins could be catching passes from backup quarterback Colt McCoy, as starter Kyler Murray (ankle) is also being treated as a game-day decision after failing to practice in any capacity this week.

Odell Beckham Jr. WR | MIN
Browns' Odell Beckham: Has yet to be officially waived
Beckham (shoulder/personal), who has yet to be officially placed on waivers by the Browns, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, was listed as out on the team's final Week 9 injury report in advance of Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Per Anthony Poisal of the team's official site, the Browns are in the process of finalizing Beckham's release, but the move has not yet been formally processed, Field Yates of ESPN notes. Once details regarding the wideout's contract are settled, however, the transaction will become official. In any case, Beckham -- who is slated go through the NFL waiver process -- won't be available to play for any team in Week 9.

Amari Cooper WR | LV
Cowboys' Amari Cooper: Questionable, but should play
The Cowboys list Cooper (hamstring) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, but he's expected to be available to play, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Cooper and fellow starting wideout CeeDee Lamb (ankle) will both take designations into the weekend, though neither receiver appears at major risk of sitting out the contest. Of the two, Cooper actually looks to be in better health, as he turned in a trio of limited practices this week, while Lamb sat out Wednesday before being listed as a limited participant Thursday and Friday. Assuming he suits up Sunday, Cooper should benefit from the return of Dak Prescott, who sat out last week's win over the Vikings with a calf strain. Cooper was still able to produce in Week 8 with Cooper Rush under center, delivering an 8-122-1 receiving line on 13 targets.
-
A.J. Brown WR | NE
Titans' A.J. Brown: Listed as questionable after Friday DNP
Brown, who practiced fully Wednesday and Thursday, was added to the Titans' Week 9 injury report as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Rams after missing practice Friday with a knee issue.
On the plus side for the Titans, fellow wideout Julio Jones (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation heading into the weekend, but given that he was a late addition to the team's injury report, Brown's status is worth monitoring as Sunday night's 8:20 ET kickoff approaches. Added context regarding his Week 9 status should arrive late Saturday or early Sunday once national reporters like Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport issue their weekly injury updates.

Deebo Samuel WR | SF
49ers' Deebo Samuel: Questionable for Week 9
The 49ers list Samuel (calf) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Though Samuel was able to practice on a limited basis Friday for the second day in a row after previously sitting out Wednesday's session, he admitted that his calf injury is feeling worse this week than it did heading into the 49ers' Week 8 win over the Bears, per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com. Samuel proceeded to churn out six receptions for 171 yards on nine targets last week, so even if he's at less than 100 percent heading into the matchup with the Cardinals, fantasy mangers should still feel good about including him in lineups. To that end, David Lombardi of The Athletic relays that Samuel seemingly has a "solid chance" to play, though fantasy managers will need to confirm he's avoided the inactive list ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.
