  • Trent Taylor WR | SF

    Trent Taylor: Cut by Bengals

Cincinnati is slated to release Taylor on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Taylor was effective for the Bengals last season, when he recorded a career-high 340 punt return yards across 16 appearances. His release is somewhat surprising, and may speak to what the team saw from Charlie Jones and/or Kwamie Lassiter during the preseason.

  • Justyn Ross WR | KC

Chiefs' Justyn Ross: Secures roster spot

Ross has made Kansas City's initial 53-man roster, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.

Ross' roster spot is intact as the initial 53-man roster deadline approaches. Though the defending champs will certainly make a number of further transactions, it looks like the former Clemson star has earned a role in Kansas City's wideout room to begin the regular season. Ross lost his rookie year to a foot injury, but enters his second season fully healthy and ready to compete for snaps with Kadarius Toney (knee), Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore and Rashee Rice.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Limited in practice

Waddle (abdomen) was at practice Tuesday but didn't have a helmet during the media-access portion, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

The Dolphins still have more than a week to go before they need to release their first official injury report ahead of a Week 1 road game against the Chargers. It's been about three weeks now since Waddle first left practice early with a midsection injury that ended up keeping him out of preseason action. Recent appearances in practice, even on a limited basis, suggest he's on track for Week 1.

  • Duece Watts WR | PIT

Duece Watts: Won't make the cut

Watts is being waived by the Packers on Wednesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Watts linked up with Green Bay on April 30 after going undrafted out of Tulane. Ultimately, the 6-foot-2 wideout was unable to stake a claim to a depth receiver role on the 53-man roster.

  • Jerome Kapp WR | NYJ

    Jerome Kapp: Won't make team

Kapp was waived by the Jets on Tuesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Kapp was working to make the team after joining them in May as an undrafted free agent out of Kutztown, upon impressing during an invite to the rookie minicamp. It's unclear if he is considered a practice squad contender.

  • Phillip Dorsett: Let go by Las Vegas

Dorsett is slated to be released by the Raiders on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Dorsett spent the entire offseason in Las Vegas, but he won't remain part of Jimmy Garoppolo's receiving corps as the deadline to cut down to a 53-man roster quickly approaches. The 30-year-old veteran secured 20 of 40 targets for 257 yards and a touchdown in 15 appearances with the Texans last season. He should be able to secure a depth spot elsewhere in the league.

  • Britain Covey WR | PHI

    Britain Covey: Gets cut loose

Covey was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, John Clark reports.

Covey's exit comes as a bit of a surprise after he appeared in 17 games with the team last season. He was in the mix for a depth receiver role as well as return duties. The Utah product should be considered a likely candidate for the practice squad and someone who could possibly still find his way to the 53-man roster.

  • Trishton Jackson: Won't make the cut

Jackson was waived by the Vikings on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Jackson spent 2022 on the team's practice squad, and that's likely where he'll end up again if he is to remain with the franchise. The Syracuse product was rumored to be having a strong camp and at one point even earned first-team reps in practice, so a return there seems possible.

  • Giants' Wan'Dale Robinson: Coming off PUP list

Coach Brian Daboll said the Giants will activate Robinson (knee) from the active/PUP list, with the expectation that he'll take part in Tuesday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Robinson has been sidelined since tearing the ACL in his right knee Week 11 of last season, an injury for which he underwent surgery Dec. 14. He was running routes in practice last Tuesday, and he now will mix into drills exactly one week later as he sets his sights on being ready for the Giants' 2023 opener. Once he's able to suit up, he'll join a receiving corps that also features Isaiah Hodgins, Darius Slayton, Parris Campbell, Sterling Shepard and rookie Jalin Hyatt.

  • Devon Allen WR | PHI

    Devon Allen: Cut day victim

Allen was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo reports.

Allen was once again unable to crack the 53-man roster in his second training camp with Philadelphia. After spending last season on its practice squad, he's a candidate to end up there again, according to Garafolo.
