  • Ross Dwelley TE | DET

Lions' Ross Dwelley: Elevated for MNF

The Lions elevated Dwelley from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Monday's game against the Ravens.

Dwelley was let go by the 49ers during training camp in mid-August, but he caught on with the Lions this past Tuesday on the practice squad following the placement of Shane Zylstra (ankle) on injured reserve. Dwelley will be elevated for Monday night's contest and will serve as the Lions' TE3 behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright.

  • Ravens' Zaire Mitchell-Paden: Elevated for MNF

The Ravens elevated Mitchell-Paden from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Monday night's game against the Lions.

Mitchell-Paden has been elevated to the active roster for each of the Ravens' first three games of the regular season due to the absence of Isaiah Likely (foot). A player is eligible to be elevated from the practice squad up to three times in a season, so the Ravens would have to sign Mitchell-Paden to the active roster if they wish for him to play beyond Week 3. He has mostly played in a rotational role at tight end behind Mark Andrews and Charlie Kolar through the first two games of 2025.

  • Panthers' Ja'Tavion Sanders: Diagnosed with high-ankle sprain

Sanders has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain following his MRI on Monday and is expected to miss multiple weeks, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Sanders' injury could make him a candidate for IR, in which case he'd be required to sit out at least four contests. The second-year tight end was forced out of Sunday's win over the Falcons in the fourth quarter. As long as Sanders is unable to take the field, Tommy Tremble will figure to handle a modest uptick in receiving volume in addition to his usual blocking responsibilities.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Dolphins' Darren Waller: To have snap count in debut

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Waller (hip) remains on track to make his team debut Week 4 against the Jets but will be on a snap count, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.

McDaniel said Waller's reps will be limited to "a situational snap count or a package-type thing" versus New York on Monday Night Football on Sept. 29. Waller's presence figures to provide a much-needed boost for Miami's stagnant offense, especially in the red zone, though fantasy managers will likely want to get a chance to monitor how the veteran tight end looks in his first NFL action since 2023 before trusting him in weekly lineups.

  • Josh Oliver TE | MIN

Vikings' Josh Oliver: Catches TD in win

Oliver had one reception on his only target for a 12-yard touchdown in Sunday's win over the Bengals.

Oliver has just two receptions and two targets in three games this season. He's almost exclusively a blocking tight end but can get the occasional touchdown (seven total in his prior three seasons).

  • Rams' Colby Parkinson: Quiet in return from injury

Parkinson played 21 snaps on offense during Sunday's 33-26 loss to the Eagles.

After missing one game due to a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, Parkinson returned to his role as a backup to starter Tyler Higbee. Only Davis Allen managed to secure a catch among the trio of tight ends, while Parkinson still sits with the dubious honor of having a negative yardage total through his two healthy games. The Colts are up next on the docket in Week 4.

  • Chargers' Oronde Gadsden: Impresses in debut

Gadsden caught five of his seven targets for 46 yards in the 23-20 win over the Broncos on Sunday.

The rookie was a healthy inactive the first two weeks, but with Will Dissly (knee) sidelined, Gadsden made the most of his immediate usage. While Tucker Fisk (29) and Tyler Conklin (22) played more or the same amount of snaps as Gadsden (22), it was clear the 2025 third-round pick was the only tight end that was utilized as a legitimate pass-catching threat. While most of the targets were underneath checkdowns, Gadsden showed burst after the catch and routinely found space in Denver's vaunted zone defense. Los Angeles is suddenly overflowing with offensive targets, but if Greg Roman's scheme is forced to rely on the TE position, Gadsden could see more opportunities in the future.

  • Jake Tonges TE | SF

49ers' Jake Tonges: Gains 21 yards in start

Tonges brought in two of three targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 16-15 win over the Cardinals.

Tonges made his first career start Sunday, finishing with 15 more snaps than fellow tight end Luke Farrell. The 25-year-old Tonges failed to replicate the Week 1 touchdown that generated some fantasy buzz, resulting in mediocre production in two appearances with backup QB Mac Jones. Tonges could see a slight uptick in projections if Brock Purdy (toe/shoulder) is able to suit up against the Jaguars next Sunday.

  • Giants' Daniel Bellinger: Catches lone target Sunday

Bellinger caught his only target for six yards Sunday in a Week 3 loss to the Chiefs.

Bellinger was again clearly behind Theo Johnson in the tight-end pecking order, logging 16 offensive snaps to Johnson's 57. Chris Manhertz also got 13 snaps on offense, so Bellinger seems to be stuck in a relatively minor role on a game-to-game basis. He has just two catches for 20 yards through three weeks, taking him off the fantasy radar almost entirely.

  • Theo Johnson TE | NYG

Giants' Theo Johnson: Held to one catch in Week 3 loss

Johnson caught one of two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.

Most of New York's pass-catching corps was stifled by a tough Chiefs defense -- even star wideout Malik Nabers got just four targets, catching a mere one pass for 26 yards -- so Johnson's limited production isn't fully on his shoulders. He remained the Giants' clear top tight end in the contest, logging 57 of the team's 66 offensive snaps to 16 snaps for Daniel Bellinger and 13 for Chris Manhertz. With that being said, Johnson has a modest six catches (on 10 targets) for 49 yards through three games, so he's not an attractive fantasy target, though his outlook could change if New York at some point makes a move away from Russell Wilson at quarterback and instead decides to go with either Jameis Winston or Jaxson Dart behind center.
