T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN
Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: Dealing with apparent groin injury
Hockenson suffered an apparent groin injury during practice Saturday and was walking with a noticeable limp afterward, Andrew Krammer of the Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Hockenson was evaluated and tried to work through the injury on the field, but he was unable to do so. He told reporters after practice that he would be alright, but he may be in line to miss additional practice time.

Thomas Fidone II TE | NYG
Giants' Thomas Fidone: Misses practice Saturday
Fidone (undisclosed) didn't participate in the Giants' practice Saturday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Fidone is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury and it's unknown how long he'll be sidelined for. The 22-year-old was selected by New York in the seventh round of this year's draft and has been competing with Greg Dulcich and Chris Manhertz for the team's No. 3 tight end spot.

Jared Wiley TE | KC
Chiefs' Jared Wiley: Sits out practice
Wiley (undisclosed) didn't participate in Kansas City's practice Saturday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Wiley had been recovering from a torn ACL suffered in practice last November, but it's unclear if his absence is related to that or another injury. Once healthy, the 2024 fourth-round pick is expected to serve as the team's No. 3 tight end behind Travis Kelce and Noah Gray during the upcoming campaign.

Sam Pitz TE | BAL
Sam Pitz: Let go by Baltimore
The Ravens waived Pitz on Saturday, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Pitz had signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in May but will now head to waivers. He caught 17 passes for 940 yards and 17 touchdowns across four seasons at Minnesota Duluth and will look to catch on with another team.

Tyree Jackson TE | WAS
Commanders' Tyree Jackson: Placed on IR
The Commanders placed Jackson (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday.
Jackson had signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January but will now be forced to miss the entire season unless he's waived with an injury settlement. He last appeared in a game during the 2023 campaign with Giants and may have to wait until 2026 to make his return.

Brock Bowers TE | LV
Raiders' Brock Bowers: Returns to practice
Bowers (undisclosed) is practicing Saturday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
It's not clear what caused Bowers to miss practice Friday, but it's possible he was just getting a rest day. Now that he's back at practice, fantasy managers should have no concerns about his status moving forward. Bowers has been the top tight end off the board in fantasy drafts after recording an NFL rookie record for receptions with 112 while accumulating 1,194 receiving yards and five touchdowns last year.

Tommy Tremble TE | CAR
Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Progressing well in recovery
Tremble (back) ran routes on the side during training camp Friday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Tremble underwent back surgery in May and opened camp on the active/PUP list. The fifth-year tight end has been increasing his workload and "appears to be trending in a good direction," per Newton. It remains unclear, however, if Tremble will be ready to play in Week 1 of the regular season.

Tyler Warren TE | IND
Colts' Tyler Warren: Could have versatile offensive role
Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter said Friday that Warren is being prepped for a versatile role in the team's offense, per NFL.com. "We're going to try a bunch of different stuff with him, give him a bunch of shots at a bunch of different aspects playing offensive football," Cooter stated.
It comes as no surprise that Indianapolis wants to take advantage of Warren's versatile skill set, as he not only tallied 1,233 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air in his final college season but also recorded 218 rushing yards and four scores on 26 carries. The 6-foot-5 tight end has had "a lot on his plate" during training camp, according to Cooter, and he's already lined up in the backfield on some plays. Any regular-season work Warren gets as a ball carrier can only help his fantasy value, though he's plenty capable of being a top tight end from the get-go based solely on his talent as a pass catcher. In terms of that role, Warren has experienced some drops early in camp but also made what head coach Shane Steichen called "an incredible catch" Thursday night, reaching out for the football with one hand and securing it while falling down.

Brock Bowers TE | LV
Raiders' Brock Bowers: Doesn't practice Friday
Though Bowers (undisclosed) was present for practice Friday, he didn't participate in the session, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
At this stage, there's been no report of an injury, so it's possible Friday was simply a rest day for Bowers. As the coming season approaches, the 2024 first-rounder is bound to remain a focal point of a Raiders passing attack now helmed by QB Geno Smith, with the tight end out of Georgia currently viewed as the consensus No. 1 option at his position in fantasy rankings.

Ja'Tavion Sanders TE | CAR
Panthers' Ja'Tavion Sanders: Standing out at camp
Sanders is "shining" at training camp, according to Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer.
It sounds like Sanders has been especially impressive during red-zone drills, catching a bunch of TD passes from Bryce Young. The 2024 fourth-round pick finished his rookie season with a 33-342-1 receiving line, serving as Carolina's top pass-catching TE for much of last season while splitting snaps with Tommy Tremble, who currently resides on the PUP list with a back injury. A strong summer could help Sanders take more snaps away from Tremble come September.
