The Cardinals backup runners played a small role Week 5.
Stepfan Taylor received just one carry for 6 yards during the contest. Robert Hughes also had a carry, but did not gain any yards on the play. Neither player was targeted in the pass game. Both players will take on Washington Week 6.

Cardinals RB Andre Ellington carries the load Week 5
Cardinals running back Andre Ellington managed a big game Week 5 against the Broncos.
Ellington was restricted on the ground, gaining just 32 yards on 16 carries. Despite his struggles running, Ellington did manage to punch in a 5 yard score in the second quarter. Where Ellington really separated himself was the passing game. He led the team with four catches and 112 yards. Most of that production came on an 81 yard touchdown pass from Logan Thomas. Ellington had to make a catch in traffic, and just outran every defender on his way to the end zone.
Ellington will take on Washington Week 6.

Tight ends pitch in for Bears in Week 5 defeat
Tight ends Martellus Bennett and Dante Rosario led a small contingent of Bears that played a role in their Sunday loss to Carolina. Both caught three passes - the former for 17 yards and the latter for 20.
Also catching a pass was veteran Santonio Holmes for six yards. Running back Ka'Deem Carey put himself in the score sheet with two carries for two yards.

Several Browns pitch in to win in clash with the Titans
Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins came down to earth Sunday in Tennessee, pitching in with just three catches on nine targets for 27 yards. He was one of several small contributors to the comeback win.
Another was running back Ray Agnew, who caught his first pass of the year for 12 yards. Fellow running back Terrance West rushed for 31 yards on seven tries while Isaiah Crowell totaled 19 yards on six carries.

Bobby Rainey scores touchdown in Week 5 loss
Buccaneers running back Bobby Rainey rushed for 21 yards on six carries and scored a touchdown Sunday, adding 21 yards on three catches in his team's 37-31 overtime loss to the Saints in Week 5.
Rainey put the Buccaneers ahead for the first time in the game early in the third quarter, running untouched into the end zone from nine yards out. He was out-touched 17-9 by starter Doug Martin and the two backs were similarly effective. Rainey has managed 220 yards on 47 carries, and Sunday's score was his first rushing touchdown of the year, though he did catch a touchdown in Week 1. The Buccaneers host the Ravens in Week 6.

Hand injury sidelines Chiefs RB Cyrus Gray
The Chiefs announced that running back Cyrus Gray sustained a hand injury in the second half at San Francisco. Gray is questionable to return.

Colts RB Trent Richardson does little in Week 5 victory
Colts running back Trent Richardson wasn't much of factor in a Week 5 at home against the Ravens.
Richardson ripped a 14-yard run in the second quarter for his longest gain of the day. He took nine handoffs for 37 yards, averaging 4.1 yards per carry in a 20-13 victory. He caught four of his five targets for 10 yards. He has 240 yards on 70 carries this season.
The Colts will travel to Houston to face the Texans in Week 6.

Ravens' Bernard Pierce a non-factor in Week 5
Ravens running back Bernard Pierce took a backseat to Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro in the rushing attack Sunday afternoon against Indianapolis in Week 5.
Pierce didn't get into the game until the first offensive series in the second half. He took four handoffs for 30 yards, averaging 7.5 yards per attempt, finishing ahead of Taliaferro as the team's second leading rusher in a 20-13 defeat. He has 32 carries for 143 yards on the ground this season.
The Ravens will travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers in Week 6.

Ravens' Lorenzo Taliaferro not doing much in Week 5 defeat
Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro wasn't much of a factor in a Week 5 loss to the Colts in Indianapolis.
Taliaferro didn't get his first handoff until the third offensive series of the game. He was unable to convert a third and one inside the 5-yard line in the second quarter. He caught a pass from Joe Flacco on a flat and turned it up field for a again of 26-yard gain to convert a third down in the second quarter.
Taliaferro took five carries for 18 yards in a 20-13 defeat. He has 38 carries for 167 yards and two touchdowns this season.
The Ravens will face Tampa Bay in Week 6.

Chargers RB Donald Brown out with concussion
Chargers running back Donald Brown will not return Week 5 against the Jets.
Brown took a nasty hit to the head, and has been ruled out with a concussion. He went back to the locker room shortly after the play, but the team waiting until after halftime to officially rule him out. The team turned to Branden Oliver with Brown sidelined.
