Davis has endured quite an interesting season thus far, having bounced from Kansas City to the Packers, then to the Jets for just one day, and now back to the Chiefs. He'll be expected to provide depth at running back behind Charcandrick West with Spencer Ware (concussion) sidelined and Jamaal Charles (knee) on IR. Expect West to see a bulk of the workload and fantasy value out of the Chiefs' backfield in Week 9, despite Davis' signing.

Rainey (calf) is questionable to play Sunday against the Eagles.

Rainey wasn't thought to be injured heading into the Giants' Week 8 bye, but he was limited in every practice this week and may become a game-time decision for Sunday's divisional matchup. In such a scenario, look for Rashad Jennings, Orleans Darkwa and Paul Perkins to split the available work out of the backfield.

Mathews is averaging a career-worst 3.8 YPC and has far less appeal than Sproles as a pass-catcher, though, making the former a difficult option to trust.
