Mack (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, has a "good shot" at playing this week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports, citing a source.

Mack came out of the Oct. 21 win over the Bills with a sprained ankle, which limited his activity in practices Wednesday and Thursday. He returned to full participation Friday and didn't suffer any apparent setbacks in that session, leaving the Colts optimistic he'll be ready to head their backfield in Week 8. Mack, who has already missed four games this season with a hamstring issue, has been excellent while suiting up for the last two contests, racking up 252 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on only 34 touches (31 carries, three receptions).

Breida (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals due to an ankle injury, is expected to play but will be limited, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Breida returned to practice Friday as a limited participant after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday. He's mostly had good luck playing through a variety of injuries this season, but he was removed after just five carries when he aggravated his mid-ankle sprain during last week's 39-10 loss to the Rams. It's hard to say if the injury risk is outweighed by his fantastic matchup with an Arizona defense that's giving up 187 scrimmage yards and 1.7 touchdowns per game to running backs this season. This report makes him a risky option even if he is active for Sunday's game.

McKinnon doesn't need crutches to move about as he recovers from a torn ACL in his right knee, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

McKinnon suffered the injury between the preseason slate and preparation for Week 1, leaving the 49ers without one of their big offseason acquisitions for the entire campaign. Following surgery on Sept. 11, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reported McKinnon's ACL tear was "pretty clean," a positive sign for his rehab. In McKinnon's absence, the trio of Matt Breida (ankle), Raheem Mostert and Alfred Morris have combined to fuel the NFL's second-ranked rushing attack (137.4 yards per game).

Breida (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Arizona, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Cook (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, Nick Underhill of The New Orleans Advocate reports.

Things have been trending in this direction all week with Cook failing to practice in any capacity. Multiple reports have suggested he could be held out even longer, potentially targeting a return when the Vikings come back from a Week 9 bye. Latavius Murray will lead the Minnesota backfield in a tough matchup against New Orleans, with Mike Boone and Roc Thomas handling whatever scraps are left behind.

Coach Bill O'Brien said Friday that Foreman (Achilles) is closing in on a return to practice, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports. "Sure, yes," O'Brien said about Foreman potentially practicing. "Not sure the date of that, but yes he is definitely closer."

Foreman is approaching the one-year mark of the torn Achilles he suffered Nov. 19, 2017. As a member of the PUP list, he has until Week 11 to begin practicing with the intent to return, at which point he'll open a 21-day window to be activated by the Texans. The team has fared well with the running-back duo of Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue this season, so Foreman's potential to produce (if available) should be tempered until he's able to prove it on the field.

Mack didn't practice Thursday, so his return to a full session Friday is very encouraging. The questionable designation does make it prudent to confirm his status for Sunday's 4:05 PM ET kickoff, however. Assuming he's able to play this weekend, Mack would be in line to continue to head the Colts' rushing attack after logging 19 carries for 126 yards (both career-high marks) and a TD against the Bills in last Sunday's 37-5 win. Mack was also involved in the passing game to the tune of two catches on three targets for 33 yards and a score, while Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins were relegated to complementary roles.

While he'll probably be listed as a limited participant, Breida's ability to practice in any capacity at least gives him a shot to play in Sunday's game at Arizona. He tried to play through the same injury during last week's 39-10 loss to the Rams, but he was removed from the contest early after aggravating his mid-ankle sprain. Breida played through shoulder and knee injuries earlier this season, proving his ability to produce at a high level while dealing with pain/discomfort.

Freeman (ankle) won't play Sunday against the Chiefs, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.

With Freeman out this weekend, look for Phillip Lindsay to see added carries Sunday, while Devontae Booker's change-of-pace upside figures to see an uptick Week 8.

Cook (hamstring) doesn't appear to be practicing Friday, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.

Multiple reports have suggested Cook will miss at least one more game and likely two, with his failure to practice in any capacity this week making him a long shot for Sunday's game against New Orleans. Another update will be available Friday afternoon when the Vikings release their final injury report.
