Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Breaks off 70-yard run in return
Cook (hamstring) rushed 10 times for 89 yards and caught all four of his targets for 20 more in Sunday's 24-9 win over the Lions.
The majority of Cook's yardage came on a 70-yard run in the second quarter, but he got tackled on the five-yard line. Prior to that, Cook watched fellow running back Latavius Murray score from one yard out in the first quarter. Minnesota unsurprisingly eased Cook back in, giving both him and Murray 10 carries apiece in the second-year running back's first action since Week 4. Expect the workload distribution to skew much more heavily in Cook's favor coming out of the team's Week 10 bye.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Browns' Nick Chubb: Rushes for touchdown
Chubb carried the ball 22 times for 85 yards and scored a touchdown during Sunday's 37-21 loss to the Chiefs. He also caught his only target for five yards.
Since taking over the starting job for the jettisoned Carlos Hyde in Week 7, Chubb has averaged 3.9 yards per carry and has yet to eclipse the century mark. However, his workload and knack for finding the end zone makes him a solid play in fantasy formats, especially considering no one on Cleveland's roster is challenging him for carries. The rookie running back will look to keep it up in Week 10 against a Falcons defense that allows 112 rushing yards per game.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Fourth straight game over 100 rushing yards
Conner rushed 24 times for 107 yards while adding seven catches for 56 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in Sunday's 23-16 win over Baltimore.
Conner got into the end zone on a seven-yard reception in the first quarter and ended up topping 100 yards on the ground for the fourth consecutive game. With Le'Veon Bell still yet to report due to a contract dispute, the Steelers have had no problem giving Conner all the work he can handle, much to the delight of his fantasy owners. Pittsburgh will be right back in action Thursday, so it's unlikely Bell reports by the time the Panthers come to town in Week 10.

Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Broncos' Royce Freeman: Inactive Sunday
Freeman (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans.
With Freeman out Sunday, Phillip Lindsay will head Denver's Week 9 backfield, while Devontae Booker is on hand to work in a change-of-pace role. With the Broncos on bye in Week 10, Freeman will now turn his focus to returning to action Nov. 18 against the Chargers.
-
Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Suiting up Sunday
Gordon (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Though Gordon's hamstring injury sidelined him for the Week 7 win over the Titans in London, he appears to be in sound health coming off a bye week. While Gordon retained a questionable tag heading into the weekend, there was never much concern about his status after he practiced in limited fashion Wednesday and Thursday before upgrading to full participation Friday. It's thus expected that he'll enjoy a normal workload Sunday, which translated to an average of 15.1 carries and five receptions through his first six outings.
-
Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC
Lions' Ameer Abdullah: Returns to inactive status
Abdullah (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game at Minnesota.
Abdullah has put an end to a three-game active streak, during which he recorded three touches for 19 yards from scrimmage and fumbled one time on his four kickoff returns. The latter may have played a part in Abdullah donning street clothes Sunday, but the real impetus likely is Theo Riddick (knee) returning from a two-game absence.
-
Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Redskins' Samaje Perine: Active Week 9
Perine is active for Sunday's contest against the Falcons, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
Available on gameday for just the third time in eight games this season, Perine has a chance for his most significant workload of the season due to injuries elsewhere in the backfield. Chris Thompson (ribs) is sidelined, while the only other active running back Kapri Bibbs is suiting up just one week removed from separating his shoulder. On the season, though, Perine has managed just two yards from scrimmage on four touches, so it's difficult to count on much (if any) production behind Adrian Peterson.
-
Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Active for first time since Week 3
Cook (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Passing a pregame warmup was the final hurdle for Cook to get past before gaining clearance for his first action since Week 3. After missing five of his last six contests, he isn't expected to play more than 15-to-20 offensive snaps, making it difficult to forecast his carry count. Cook will otherwise yield the remaining work out of the backfield to Latavius Murray.
-
D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE
Texans' D'Onta Foreman: Expected to resume practicing Week 10
Foreman (Achilles) is expected to return to practice following the Texans' Week 9 game against the Broncos, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Foreman opened training camp on the PUP list while recovering from surgery to repair a torn left Achilles' tendon and reverted to the regular-season PUP list once the preseason game to a close. Though Foreman's recovery from the major injury has proceeded slowly, Rapoport's nugget suggests that the running back's practice timeline has moved up, as coach Bill O'Brien previously indicated the 22-year-old likely wouldn't be back on the field until after the Week 10 bye. It sounds like Foreman will now be able to take part in some of the light practices the Texans will hold during the bye week, at which point the team would open up a 21-day window to evaluate him for activation. If he's eventually added back to the 53-man roster, Foreman would likely be eased into a backfield mix that has featured Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue as the top two options this season.
-
Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Appears bound for backup role
Ekeler will likely move into the No. 2 role out of the backfield Sunday against the Seahawks with Melvin Gordon (hamstring) expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Gordon sat out the Chargers' Week 7 game against the Titans in London, allowing Ekeler to assume the starting gig for the first time all season. While the elevated role yielded Ekeler a season-high 42 offensive snaps, his output was somewhat underwhelming (12 carries for 42 yards, five receptions for 26 yards) against a tough defense. Gordon retains a questionable designation heading into Sunday's contest, but after the Chargers were on bye in Week 8 and he put in a full practice Friday, there doesn't seem to be much concern about his availability. It's thus expected that Gordon will take back his usual ample workload, though Ekeler should still offer utility in deeper formats based on what he's been able to do in a change-of-pace capacity this season. Over the first six games in which both backs were active, Ekeler compiled 263 yards on 41 carries and another 207 yards to go with three touchdowns on 14 receptions.
