  • Thomas Rawls RB | JAC

Jaguars' Thomas Rawls: Headed to Jacksonville

Rawls agreed to a contract Wednesday with the Jaguars, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The 25-year-old suited up for just one game for the Bengals in 2018 but showed some initial promise when he broke into the NFL with the Seahawks in 2015. Injuries have been an issue for Rawls, but assuming he's healthy this offseason and training camp, he'll have an opportunity to carve out a depth role in the Jacksonville backfield. T.J. Yeldon and Corey Grant are both eligible for free agency this offseason.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Nursing minor knee injury

Gordon is dealing with a minor left knee sprain but isn't believed to be at any risk of missing Sunday's divisional-round matchup with the Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The injury resulted in Gordon's brief departure from the Chargers' wild-card win over the Ravens this past weekend, but the running back was cleared to return to the contest and finished the day with 43 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 18 touches (17 carries, one reception). There's a decent likelihood that Gordon could be listed as a limited or non-participant Wednesday when the Chargers release their first practice report of the week, but the early expectation is that he'll avoid a designation heading into Sunday.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Logs 15 touches in playoff upset

Ekeler (groin) rushed 11 times for 29 yards and brought in all four of his targets for 14 yards in the Chargers' 23-17 wild-card win over the Ravens on Sunday.

Ekeler shook off the groin issue that had him listed as questionable heading into the contest to put together an unremarkable but serviceable final line. The change-of-pace back essentially handled a normal workload, and his availability became even more valued when backfield mate Melvin Gordon had to exit the game for a time with a knee injury. Ekeler will now look to manage his physical condition carefully over the next week ahead of next Sunday's divisional-round clash against the Patriots.

  • Gus Edwards RB | LAC

Ravens' Gus Edwards: Struggles with efficiency in loss

Edwards rushed eight times for 23 yards in the Ravens' 23-17 wild-card loss to the Chargers on Sunday.

With a nearly non-existent role in the passing game thus far in his young career, Edwards has seen his fantasy production exceedingly dependent on his success, or lack thereof, on the ground. Thus, when the running game is neutralized by game script, so too is Edwards, as was clearly the case Sunday. It was a disappointing finish for the Rutgers product, who certainly made a noticeable impact during the stretch run of the regular season with a trio of 100-yard efforts and another two over 80 in the last seven games. He'll look to pick up where he left off in 2019 while likely sharing a fair amount of touches with backfield mate Kenneth Dixon.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Key touchdown in wild-card upset

Gordon rushed 17 times for 40 yards and a touchdown and secured his only target for three yards in the Chargers' 23-17 wild-card win over the Ravens on Sunday.

Unsurprisingly, Gordon found running room to be at a premium throughout the afternoon, but he was able to squirt through a lane on a play that would prove to be the difference in the game. The star running back battled back from a left knee injury that forced his exit from the contest at one point, and he crossed the goal line on fourth down from one yard out early in the fourth quarter to extend the Chargers' lead to 20-3 at the time, pending Michael Badgley's extra point. A play earlier, Gordon had originally been ruled as having broken the plane before the ground caused him to lose control of the ball, but that call was ultimately reversed on replay review. Assuming no further setbacks with his knee, Gordon should naturally play a pivotal role versus the Patriots in next Sunday's divisional playoff clash.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Returns to game

Gordon, who was forced out of Sunday's wild-card game against the Ravens with a left knee injury, was able to return to the contest.

Great news for the Chargers, who held a 6-0 lead in the contest upon Gordon's return to action in the second quarter. Austin Ekeler remains on hand to spell Gordon and work in a complementary role out of the Chargers' backfield Sunday.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Exits game with knee injury

Gordon was forced out of Sunday's wild-card game against the Ravens with a knee injury, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.

After hurting his knee, Gordon headed to the locker room to be evaluated. Prior to his exit from the game, the running back ran three times for eight yards. Next up for the Chargers' carries in Gordon's absence is Austin Ekeler.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Suits up Sunday

Ekeler (groin) is officially active for Sunday's playoff game against the Ravens.

This was the expected outcome after Ekeler practiced throughout the past week, albeit in a limited fashion. The 23-year-old is thus slated to work in a complementary/change-of-pace role behind lead back Melvin Gordon in Sunday's wild-card contest. In doing so, Ekeler should maintain PPR utility in postseason fantasy contests.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: In line to play Sunday

Ekeler (groin) is slated to be active for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Ekeler, who practiced this past week in a limited fashion, is thus poised to be available for Sunday's wild-card game. He'll continue to work in a complementary/change-of-pace role behind lead back Melvin Gordon, an assignment that provides Ekeler with a degree of PPR utility.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Texans' D'Onta Foreman: Active for playoff loss

Foreman had one carry for three yards and was targeted once in Saturday's 21-7 wild-card round loss to the Colts.

Foreman, who missed the first 12 games of the season due to his recovery from a ruptured Achilles, was active for just the second game since his return Week 14. The history of players returning from similar injuries is not encouraging, particularly for running backs, per this study in the journal Foot & Ankle International. That doesn't mean he can't be an impact player in 2019, but fantasy owners should proceed with caution.
