Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Game script mitigates production
Jacobs accounted for 44 yards on 10 carries and was unable to haul in either of his targets during Sunday's 34-14 loss to Minnesota.
Jacobs has come back down to earth over the past two weeks after a historic NFL debut on Monday Night Football against the Broncos in Week 1. The Alabama product became the first player with 100 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in his first NFL game since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2001. In two games since, however, Jacobs has produced only 71.5 scrimmage yards per game with zero touchdowns. The rookie first-round draft choice aims to regain elite production in Week 4, taking on a Colts defense that let Atlanta running back Devonta Freeman establish a 5.5 yards per carry average Sunday.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Piles up 139 scrimmage yards
Elliott carried 19 times for 125 yards and caught two passes for 14 additional yards during Sunday's 31-6 win over the Dolphins.
Elliott didn't face much resistance against a poor Dolphins defense as he gashed it for 6.6 yards per carry. He could have fared even better if not for a big game from backfield mate Tony Pollard, who piled up 128 scrimmage yards and a touchdown of his own. Elliott now has 264 scrimmage yards on 46 touches over the last two games and could face an even heftier workload next Sunday on the road against the Saints.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Overcomes calf issue in win
Mack rushed 16 times for 74 yards and a touchdown and brought in two of three targets for 14 yards in the Colts' 27-24 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Mack came in saddled with a calf injury, but he still impressively managed to churn out 4.6 yards per carry and a long run of 26 yards. The 2017 fourth-round pick's four-yard touchdown run with 8:40 remaining also gave the Colts some valuable breathing room by extending their lead to 27-17 at the time. Mack's efficiency was a welcome sight after he averaged just 2.6 YPC in Week 2 against the Titans, and he'll look to build on Sunday's numbers versus the Raiders in Week 4.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Monstrous showing in Week 3
Cook ran for 110 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, while adding four receptions for 33 yards during Sunday's 34-14 win against the Raiders.
The third-year back is off to an absolutely electrifying start to the 2019 campaign, averaging 151.3 scrimmage yards per game with four total touchdowns through three weeks of play. Cook has re-established his explosive playing style since recovering from ACL and hamstring injuries that dulled his production over the past two seasons, leading the NFL in 20-plus yard carries entering Week 3, and picking up five or more yards on nine of his 16 rushes against the Raiders on Sunday. In his upcoming Week 4 matchup, Cook will face a Bears defense that is yet to concede a rushing touchdown this season.

Kenjon Barner RB | TB
Falcons' Kenjon Barner: Evaluated for head injury
Barner left Sunday's game against Indianapolis, and is being evaluated for a possible concussion, Kelsey Conway of the Falcons' official site reports.
Barner is the second Atlanta running back to suffer a head injury Sunday, with Ito Smith diagnosed with a concussion already. Expect the team to comment on Barner's status following the game or in the coming days, but Devonta Freeman is the only healthy running back left on the roster for the remainder of the game.

Travis Homer RB | PIT
Seahawks' Travis Homer: Could see some action Week 3
Homer will be the third running back behind Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise in Sunday's Week 3 game against the Saints with Rashaad Penny (hamstring) declared inactive for the contest.
The rookie sixth-round pick may not get many opportunities for playing time this season, but Penny's absence opens the door for at least a nominal amount of carries behind Carson and Prosise. The University of Miami product flashed in preseason with a team-leading 6.3 yards per carry average, helping him secure a roster spot at final cuts.

Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Officially out Week 3
Penny (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's Week 3 tilt against the Saints.
Penny's absence has been expected for about the last 48 hours after the 2018 first-round pick hurt his hamstring in Friday's practice. The Seahawks have stated Penny's injury is not overly serious, but they'll play it safe and have C.J. Prosise and Travis Homer serve as complementary options behind Chris Carson.

Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Broncos' Royce Freeman: Returns to game
Freeman, who was forced out of Sunday's game against the Packers with a shoulder injury, was able to return to the contest.
Freeman therefore will resume his duties in Denver's Week 3 backfield, working in tandem with Phillip Lindsay, following his temporary exit from Sunday's tilt.

Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Broncos' Royce Freeman: Exits Sunday's game
Freeman was forced out of Sunday's game against the Packers with a shoulder injury, Zac Stevens of BSNDenver.com reports.
Prior to his exit, Freeman had logged three carries for three yards. Phillip Lindsay will head Denver's backfield in his absence, with Devontae Booker on hand in a reserve role.

Darrel Williams RB | NO
Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Could be starter Sunday
Williams was working out first in the Chiefs' running-back drills during pregame warmups, signaling that he may garner the start Sunday against the Ravens, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
With normal No. 1 back Damien Williams (knee) sidelined, the Chiefs will be forced to break in a new starter for the matchup between division leaders. Veteran LeSean McCoy is listed second on the depth chart and was expected to draw the starting nod, but the Chiefs could choose to limit his workload while he nurses a sore ankle that left him visibly gimpy when he reported to the stadium Sunday. If McCoy is in fact limited, Williams and Darwin Thompson - who was second in line during warmups -- could be on tap to handle the bulk of the snaps out of the backfield.
