  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: Surprise standout Monday

Scott rushed 10 times for 59 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 23-17 overtime win over the Giants. He also caught all six of his targets for 69 yards.

Scott saw his role increase after starting tailback Miles Sanders was forced to exit due to leg cramps. Although Sanders would ultimately return to action, Scott made the most of his opportunity, scoring a two-yard touchdown to close the third quarter and popping big plays in both the running and passing games. In the end, the 2018 sixth-rounder topped 100 scrimmage yards for the first time, helping the Eagles to a crucial victory. Such an accomplishment could very well earn him some extra snaps in Week 15 versus Washignton, even with Sanders likely to be fully healthy.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Eagles' Miles Sanders: Finishes winning effort

Sanders rushed 15 times for 45 yards and caught four of five targets for 24 yards in Monday night's 23-17 overtime win over the Giants.

Sanders ended with nearly 20 touches, but missed a period of time while dealing with leg cramps. Although he returned to finish the game, backup Boston Scott capitalized on Sanders' absence, totaling 128 yards and a touchdown on his 16 touches. While that situation will surely leave some fantasy owners rueing Sanders' missed opportunities, the fact he was able to return at least offers some solace ahead of Week 15's tilt against Washington.

  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: Quiet against Eagles

Barkley rushed 17 times for 66 yards and caught three of four targets for one yard in Monday night's 23-17 overtime loss to the Eagles.

Barkley was bottled up fairly well, as his long rush of the night went for only 11 yards. The tailback also barely produced anything in the passing game, keeping him under 100 scrimmage yards for the sixth time over his last eight outings. With just two touchdowns over that same span, Barkley has certainly struggled some in his second season, but he next faces a Dolphins defense that's surrendered the third-most total yards and rushing yards thus far, offering hope for improvement in Week 15.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Eagles' Miles Sanders: Starting again Week 14

Sanders will be the Eagles' starting running back Monday against the Giants, Mike Kaye of NJ.com reports.

Sanders is getting the nod with Jordan Howard (shoulder) inactive once again. In three prior contests with Howard missing from the Eagles' backfield, Sanders averaged 16.7 touches for 79.3 yard from scrimmage while scoring one receiving touchdown. Behind Sanders, Jay Ajayi and Boston Scott represent Philly's other available running backs.

  • Rashaad Penny RB | CAR

Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: ACL tear confirmed

An MRI confirmed that Penny tore his ACL during Sunday night's loss to the Rams, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The report adds Penny has additional damage to his knee and that the 2018 first-rounder will be sidelined until training camp. With the promising back unavailable down the stretch, Chris Carson is slated to head the Seattle ground game going forward, with C.J. Prosise and rookie Travis Homer in line to work in complementary roles.

  • Rashaad Penny RB | CAR

Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Ruled out for season

Penny (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of the 2019 season, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Penny suffered a knee injury on the first drive of Sunday's 28-12 loss to the Rams, and additional testing revealed he's dealing with an ACL sprain. The second-year running back will be placed on IR soon, and he'll finish the season with 65 rushes for 370 yards (5.7 YPC) and three touchdowns while adding eight receptions for 83 yards and a score. It's unsettled whether Penny's injury will affect his status for the 2020 season. Chris Carson is set to be the bell cow moving forward, and C.J. Prosise and rookie Travis Homer are expected to rotate in as well.

  • Travis Homer RB | PIT

Seahawks' Travis Homer: May garner more offensive work

Coach Pete Carroll said Homer could get more involved on offense with Rashaad Penny dealing with an ACL sprain, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Penny is expected to miss considerable time due to this injury, so Homer and C.J. Prosise will need to step up behind bell cow Chris Carson. A rookie sixth-round pick, Homer has been active in every game this year but has yet to record an offensive snap, and he's carried just once for 29 yards on a fake punt in Week 13's win over the Vikings. Prosise, on the other hand, has only been active for seven contests but registered 23 touches over those games and figures to be the main beneficiary of Penny's absence, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

  • Myles Gaskin RB | SEA

Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Little impact in loss

Gaskin carried the ball four times for five yards during Sunday's 22-21 loss to the Jets. He also caught one of two targets for six yards.

The rookie seventh-round pick once again played second fiddle to Patrick Laird, who is operating as Miami's featured option out of the backfield. Even with Kalen Ballage (Achilles) now on injured reserve, Gaskin's lack of production, albeit in a small sample, may be keeping him from garnering a larger role. It remains to be seen whether Gaskin, or potentially recent pickup Zach Zenner, will operate as the primary backup to Laird down the stretch.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Plays through hamstring issue

Henry, who carried 18 times for 103 yards and two touchdowns and caught one pass for six yards in Sunday's 42-21 win over the Raiders, worked through a hamstring issue during the contest, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Henry sat out practice Wednesday and was limited Thursday, but missing Sunday's game wasn't a consideration, with the running back noting afterward, "my leg is going to have to be halfway off for me to stop." With that in mind, Wyatt notes that as the end of the first half approached, Henry headed to the Titans' locker room early in order to afford the team's trainers/medical staff added time to keep him loose. Look for Tennessee's top back to be on the team's injury report to begin Week 15, but he'll likely be out there next weekend against the Texans, barring any setbacks.

  • Titans' Khari Blasingame: Impact in passing game

Blasingame did not record a carry but did haul in both of his targets for 47 yards in the Titans' Week 14 win over the Raiders.

Blasingame notably worked ahead of Dion Lewis, recording the first of his two receptions on the team's opening drive. While he didn't manage another reception until the third quarter, he broke off big gains of 24 and 23 yards respectively. Given the workhorse nature of Derrick Henry and the limited pass volume in the Titans' offense, Blasingame isn't likely to do anything more than further dent Dion Lewis' status on the depth chart.
