Travis Etienne RB | NO
Jaguars' Travis Etienne: Looking at four-month timeline
Etienne (foot) will have surgery Thursday and is facing a four-month recovery timeline thereafter, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Etienne is ineligible for 2021 after being placed on injured reserve during the preseason, but it sounds like he'll at least be healthy before the start of the offseason program next spring. Dr. Robert Anderson will perform surgery Thursday on the rookie's Lisfranc injury, while James Robinson is set to lead the Jacksonville backfield Week 1 against the Texans.

Jason Huntley RB | IND
Jason Huntley: Links with practice squad
The Eagles signed Huntley (ribs) to the practice squad Wednesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Huntley wasn't listed with an injury designation when the Eagles waived him Tuesday, so it appears that he's recovered from the ribs issue that limited him during the preseason. The 23-year-old return man will look to continue developing as part of the scout team.

Patrick Laird RB | TB
Patrick Laird: Signed to practice squad
The Dolphins signed Laird to the practice squad Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Laird has been a solid reserve option and special-teams contributor for the Dolphins over the last two seasons, in which span he's suited up for 31 games. Though he won't begin the 2021 regular season on the 53-man roster, it wouldn't be surprising to see him bump up should Miami suffer any backfield injuries.

Gerrid Doaks RB | HOU
Gerrid Doaks: Sticks around on practice squad
The Dolphins signed Doaks to the practice squad Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Doaks wasn't able to secure a spot on the initial 53-man roster, but he will get to continue his development with the Dolphins via the scout team. The rookie seventh-round pick showcased a three-down skill set in his collegiate career at Cincinnati, but for now he's only on the fantasy radar in deep dynasty formats.

Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC
Ameer Abdullah: Remains with Minneosta
Abdullah signed with the Vikings' practice squad Wednesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Abdullah was cut by the Vikings on Tuesday but will stick around the organization on the practice squad. The 28-year-old could join the 53-man roster ahead of Week 1 since Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison are the only running backs currently on the roster.

Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ
Vikings' Kene Nwangwu: Lands on injured reserve
Nwangwu (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Eric Smith of the Vikings' official site reports.
Nwangwu picked up the knee injury during the preseason matchup with the Browns on Aug. 14, and he was sidelined for the rest of the preseason. The rookie fourth-round pick will remain on injured reserve for at least the first three contests of the regular season.
-
John Kelly RB | CLE
John Kelly: Returns to Cleveland
Kelly was signed to Cleveland's practice squad Wednesday.
Kelly ran with the Browns in 2021 preseason and saw a lot of action in preseason games, as Cleveland held Nick Chubb out for all three games and Kareem Hunt for two. The Browns kept four running backs, including combo WR/RB Demetric Felton, so it would take multiple injuries for Kelly to make it to the active roster.
-
Derrick Gore RB | WAS
Derrick Gore: Signs with Chiefs' practice squad
Gore signed with the Chiefs' practice squad Wednesday, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
Gore was productive in the Chiefs' preseason finale, as he rushed six times for 26 yards while tallying five receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings. While he was waived Tuesday, he could rejoin the active roster if Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) or Darrel Williams are unavailable Week 1 against the Browns.

Corey Clement RB | ARI
Cowboys' Corey Clement: Finds another home in NFC East
Clement agreed Wednesday with Dallas on a one-year deal, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Clement arrives in Dallas as the No. 3 back, and he's unlikely to get snaps on offense unless Ezekiel Elliott or Tony Pollard suffers an injury or the Cowboys are in the closing minutes of a blowout. Instead, Clement is mostly expected to make his mark on special teams, something he did for the Eagles in 2017 before emerging as an unlikely rookie hero in the team's run to the Super Bowl. While he hasn't done anything of interest to fantasy managers since his debut campaign, Clement logged 268 snaps on special teams for the Eagles last year. He then landed with the Giants this offseason, but Big Blue settled on Devontae Booker and Gary Brightwell as the depth options behind Saquon Barkley (knee). Meanwhile, Clement has now been rostered by three of the four NFC East teams this calendar year.

Devine Ozigbo RB | DET
Devine Ozigbo: Resurfaces on practice squad
Jacksonville signed Ozigbo to the practice squad Wednesday.
Ozigbo is set to begin the 2021 regular season as an emergency practice squad option behind James Robinson, Carlos Hyde and Dare Ogunbowale. He suited up for eight games last season but only handled one carry.
