Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Raiders' Kenyan Drake: Uninvolved in MNF loss
Drake took his lone carry for two yards and he was not targeted in the passing game during Monday's 28-14 loss to the Chargers. He also returned three kickoffs for 68 yards.
Drake's role in the Raiders' offense diminished with starter Josh Jacobs' return from an ankle injury, as the latter rushed 13 times for 40 yards and caught all five of his targets. Drake played a season-low 20 offensive snaps, which came as somewhat of a surprise given that the Raiders trailed by multiple scores for much of the contest. Jacobs appears healthy ahead of a Week 5 matchup against the Bears, so Drake's usage could again be limited despite the $11 million contract he was handed by Las Vegas this offseason.

David Montgomery RB | HOU
Bears' David Montgomery: Could miss multiple weeks
Montgomery (knee) is reportedly nursing a sprain that is expected to sideline him 4-5 weeks, Dan Graziano of ESPN.com reports.
The Bears aren't expected to provide an official update on Montgomery's status until Wednesday, but early test results at least suggest he's avoided a season-ending issue. If a recovery timetable between four and five weeks is indeed accurate, Montgomery will likely end up seeing a stint on IR. Damien Williams appears the favorite to lead Chicago's backfield in the meantime, assuming he can manage to play through a thigh bruise. The Bears also have rookie Khalil Herbert around to pick up some slack, with a road matchup against the Raiders on deck for Week 5.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: High usage in return
Jacobs rushed 13 times for 40 yards and caught all five of his targets for 17 yards in Monday night's 28-14 loss to the Chargers.
Jacobs made his first appearance since Week 1 but found it tough to move the ball against Los Angeles' rush defense. On the bright side, he contributed a handful of receptions, garnering a healthy 18 touches overall in his return to Las Vegas' backfield. That involvement should offer encouragement surrounding Jacobs' stock as he aims to put his early season injury concerns behind him ahead of the Week 5 matchup against the Bears.

Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Stellar in Monday's win
Ekeler rushed 15 times for 117 yards and a touchdown, and caught three of five targets for 28 yards and another touchdown, in Monday night's 28-14 win over the Raiders.
Ekeler's dynamic, dual-threat ability was on display, as he ran well between the tackles, showed shiftiness in the open field and caught the ball out of the backfield. The veteran's first score came on a 14-yard wheel route in the second quarter, then Ekeler powered his way to an 11-yard touchdown rush in the fourth. The versatile tailback has now topped 100 scrimmage yards in three straight games, with Monday's performance comfortably marking his best of the campaign thus far. With four TDs in four contests to boot, Ekeler rides excellent form into a matchup against the Browns in Week 5.

Chris Evans RB | CIN
Bengals' Chris Evans: No action in Week 4
Evans saw only two offensive snaps in the Week 4 win over Jacksonville without garnering a target or carry.
With Joe Mixon's (ankle) status for Week 5 up in the air, Evans might see the field more often, particularly on passing downs.

Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Bengals' Samaje Perine: More playing time this week?
Perine had three carries for seven yards and one catch for 15 yards Week 4 against the Jaguars, but he's next in line for playing time should Joe Mixon's low-ankle sprain sideline him Week 5.
Most of Perine's playing time (13 offensive snaps) came on the Bengals' final drive Thursday night. Even if Mixon plays this week, Perine probably will carry more than his usual load.

Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ
Bears' Khalil Herbert: Opportunity may await
Herbert could be in line to start if David Montgomery (knee) and Damien Williams (thigh) are unable to suit up, Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
At this time, Montgomery seems like a long shot to play, and Williams has a thigh bruise, which seems unlikely to keep him out, but more clarity will emerge as the Bears conduct this week's practices. Herbert was selected in the sixth round of this year's draft and was impressive when used with the second-string offense in the preseason, though it's difficult to gauge his potential production should he be thrust into the starting lineup.

Elijah Mitchell RB | PHI
49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Likely to take contact this week
Mitchell (shoulder) is expected to practice without a blue non-contact jersey this week, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports.
After sitting out Week 3 due to a shoulder stinger, Mitchell was able to return to the practice field last week in a non-contact jersey, logging three limited sessions in the process. It wasn't enough to gain clearance for game action this past Sunday versus the Seahawks, which allowed Trey Sermon to dominate the backfield work for a second straight contest and record 19 carries for 89 yards on a 51 percent snap share. On Wednesday, it appears Mitchell will take one of the final steps in his recovery, but he may need a few sessions to get back to full participation. Once he does, though, he's a decent bet to regain the No. 1 RB spot on the depth chart.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Returning from two-game absence
Jacobs (ankle) is listed as active Monday against the Chargers in L.A.
After sitting out the past two games due to ankle and toe injuries, Jacobs is back in action following limited showings at every Week 4 practice. His workload remains to be seen, though. There's a chance he shares early down work with Peyton Barber and yields most change-of-pace duties to Kenyan Drake, but Jacobs nonetheless is available to the Raiders offense again.
