Travis Homer RB | PIT
Seahawks' Travis Homer: Returns onside kick for touchdown
Homer rushed four times for nine yards and caught his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 31-7 win over the Jaguars. He also returned a Jacksonville onside kick for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Homer finished second among Seahawks running backs with 17 offensive snaps, as Alex Collins led the backfield with 27. However, he made his biggest play of the season on special teams, snagging the onside kick and returning it 44 yards for a score. Homer's role is secure on passing downs, but he has only generated 165 scrimmage yards through eight games.

Ronald Jones RB | DAL
Buccaneers' Ronald Jones: Four touches in divisional loss
Jones rushed three times for 13 yards and brought in his only target for six yards in the Buccaneers' 36-27 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
A week after logging 10 carries in a blowout win over the Bears, Jones was back down to a relatively meager role Sunday, although the running game as a whole took a backseat against the Saints. Jones' clear backup role has no ambiguity attached, however, and he figures to continue serving as a seldom-used understudy to Leonard Fournette when the Buccaneers return from a Week 9 bye to face Washington.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Reportedly has broken bone in foot
Henry (foot) broke his fifth metatarsal bone during Sunday's 34-31 overtime win over the Colts, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports.
The Titans are still waiting on the results of an MRI to verify the severity of Henry's injury, but Adam Schefter of ESPN suggests that the damage could potentially be season-ending. As Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports, Henry actually managed to return to Sunday's contest after suffering the injury, ultimately taking 28 carries for just 68 yards, but after the game he had to be carted around in the stadium. Behind Henry, Jeremy McNichols has handled the No. 2 gig and a passing-down role for Tennessee this season.

Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Panthers' Royce Freeman: Gets six carries
Freeman rushed six times for 25 yards in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Falcons.
Freeman was efficient with his opportunities but saw recent signing Ameer Abdullah take on a larger role than him, as Abdullah garnered 11 touches in his Carolina debut. Chuba Hubbard commanded 25 touches as the starter, so it was a busy backfield for the Panthers. However, with Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) reportedly on track to return in Week 9 versus the Patriots, Freeman and company should all see their respective roles reduced.

Scottie Phillips RB | HOU
Texans' Scottie Phillips: Activated for Week 8
Phillips had five carries for 11 yards and caught two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 38-22 loss to the Rams.
Those keeping track of Houston's backfield following the trade of Mark Ingram should count Phillips (15 snaps) as a winner. His eight touches/targets tied Rex Burkhead atop the four-man backfield. David Johnson (11 snaps) and Phillip Lindsay (eight) combined for six touches. As Tuesday's trade deadline nears, there could be a further shakeup.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Foot injury may be severe
Henry suffered a potentially serious foot injury in Sunday's game and is scheduled for an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of the damage, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Henry took 28 carries for 68 yards in a 34-31 overtime win over the Colts, but Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports that the running back was carted around inside the stadium after the game. Schefter's report refers to the foot injury as "potentially season-ending", albeit with the disclaimer that an MRI is still needed for a proper diagnosis. Jeremy McNichols has operated as Henry's backup and passing-down replacement this year, while 2020 third-round pick Darrynton Evans (knee) is out for the season after being placed on injured reserve for a second time. Jay Glazer of Fox Sports suggests Henry likely suffered a broken fifth metatarsal of his foot.

Demetric Felton RB | WAS
Browns' Demetric Felton: Reduced snaps with Chubb return
Felton had one carry for three yards and caught his lone target for 14 yards in Sunday's 15-10 loss to Pittsburgh. He added one yard on two punt returns.
The return of Nick Chubb moved Felton down a notch on the depth chart, which showed in the hybrid back's snap count. He went from a season-high 21 offensive snaps in Week 7 to nine against the Steelers. With Kareem Hunt (calf) expected to be out longer than the three-week minimum required by his placement on IR, Felton should remain on the fringes of relevancy the next two games, at Cincinnati in Week 9 and at New England in Week 10.

JaMycal Hasty RB | NE
49ers' JaMycal Hasty: Two catches in win
Hasty rushed three times for four yards and caught both of his targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 33-22 win over the Bears.
Hasty continued to back up Elijah Mitchell, seeing the field for 19 offensive snaps (34 percent). The 25-year-old simply isn't getting enough usage to serve any kind of fantasy role while Mitchell runs wild on opposing defenses. As such, Hasty won't garner much attention in an NFC West matchup against the Cardinals next Sunday.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Posts 73 total yards in win
Elliott rushed 16 times for 50 yards and caught four of six targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Vikings.
The Cowboys' air attack stole the show on Sunday Night Football, led by backup Cooper Rush and a trio of strong wideout performances. Elliott still led the team in total backfield production and out-touched Tony Pollard 20 to eight. This was the first time since Week 2 that Dallas' lead back did not eclipse 100 total yards from scrimmage. Elliott will look to bounce back in that regard against the Broncos in Week 9.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Modest output in loss
Cook rushed 18 times for 78 yards and did not record a reception on two targets in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Cowboys.
Cook had been battling an off-and-on ankle injury this season, but he got the benefit of extra rest during the team's Week 7 bye. The star back didn't turn in a poor effort -- it just wasn't up to his lofty standards. The big win for his managers was that the ankle appeared to hold up just fine during the contest. Cook will face another tough run defense when the Vikings go on the road to meet the Ravens (fourth-stingiest rush defense) next Sunday, but Cook is a must-start asset when healthy.
