  • Nick Chubb RB | HOU

Browns' Nick Chubb: Scores twice in blowout win

Chubb rushed 14 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns while catching both of his targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 41-16 win over the Bengals.

Chubb gave the Browns a 14-7 second-quarter lead with a one-yard rushing touchdown, then burst past everybody for a 70-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to put Cleveland up 31-10. While Chubb dominated, D'Ernest Johnson produced just 16 yards on eight rushing attempts. With Kareem Hunt (calf) expected to remain sidelined in Week 10 against the Patriots, Chubb should continue to see the majority of playing time in Cleveland's backfield, especially by the goal line.

  • Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Tops 100 scrimmage yards in return

McCaffrey rushed 14 times for 52 yards and caught four of five targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Patriots.

McCaffrey, making his first appearance since straining his hamstring in Week 3, contributed most as a receiver with the Panthers trailing in the second half. With consecutive catches of 21, 19 and 17 yards on the same drive, McCaffrey surpassed 100 scrimmage yards in his return to action, compensating for a modest outing on the ground. Although Carolina kept backups Chuba Hubbard and Ameer Abdullah involved, combining for 66 yards on their nine touches, McCaffrey was comfortably his team's most productive offensive player, leading Carolina in receiving despite quarterback Sam Darnold's recent struggles persisting. As coordinator Joe Brady desperately hopes to improve his unit, look for McCaffrey to garner another healthy workload in Week 10 versus the Cardinals.

  • Damien Harris RB | BUF

Patriots' Damien Harris: Exits Sunday's game

Harris was forced out of Sunday's game against the Panthers with a head injury.

As was fellow running back Rhamondre Stevenson, leaving Brandon Bolden as the team's lone healthy back Sunday, with J.J. Taylor having been made a healthy scratch by the Patriots. Prior to his exit from the game, Harris had logged 15 carries for 30 yards and a TD and caught one pass for three yards.

  • Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Departs Sunday's game

Stevenson exited Sunday's game against the Panthers due to a head injury.

Prior to his departure from the contest, Stevenson had logged 10 carries for 62 yards, while adding two catches for 44 yards. Fellow running back Damien Harris also appeared to be shaken up in the contest, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, so it looks like the duo figures to land on the team's injury report ahead of next Sunday's game against the Browns.

  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

49ers' Jeff Wilson: Making season debut in Week 9

Wilson is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

The same can be said for Elijah Mitchell, JaMycal Hasty and Trenton Cannon among 49ers running backs, while Trey Sermon is a healthy scratch. There's uncertainty about how much work Mitchell will be able to handle as he plays through a rib issue that limited him in practice this week, but Wilson is slated to mix in after completing his recovery from May surgery to repair his meniscus. in 28 career contests, Wilson has averaged 4.4 yards per carry, recorded 28 catches and scored 15 total touchdowns.

  • Zack Moss RB | CIN

Bills' Zack Moss: Exits Sunday's game

Moss is being evaluated for a head injury during Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Prior to that, Moss had recorded three carries for six yards and caught two passes for 18 yards. In his absence, Devin Singletary figures to log added touches out of Buffalo's Week 9 backfield.

  • Texans' Scottie Phillips: Done for day

Phillips (leg) will not return to Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins.

Phillips logged one carry for two yards prior to exiting Sunday's game. His absence shouldn't have a major impact on the distribution of touches in the Texans' backfield.

  • Trey Sermon RB | PIT

49ers' Trey Sermon: Healthy scratch Sunday

Sermon (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Cardinals, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Starting running back Elijah Mitchell was inhibited in practice this week by a rib injury, and while he's playing, the 49ers reportedly are unsure how much work he'll be able to handle. Despite it all, Sermon won't be a candidate to spell Mitchell, as he's struggled to earn work on offense when the latter has been available to the offense. With Sermon a healthy scratch, Jeff Wilson, JaMycal Hasty and Trenton Cannon are the running backs that will mix in behind Mitchell on Sunday.

  • Joshua Kelley RB | TEN

Chargers' Joshua Kelley: Back in the mix

Kelley is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Kelley is back in the mix Sunday, with Justin Jackson out with a quad injury. In the process, he's in line to work in a complementary role along with Larry Rountree behind the Chargers' top back, Austin Ekeler.

  • 49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Playing Sunday

Mitchell (ribs) is active for Sunday's contest versus the Cardinals, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Mitchell got on the practice field twice during Week 9 prep, both times donning a blue non-contact jersey. The rookie sixth-rounder ended up being a limited participant and entered the weekend as questionable. While Adam Schefter of ESPN reported earlier Sunday that Mitchell was in line to play -- which now is confirmed -- the 49ers aren't sure how much work the running back will be able to handle. In his five appearances (four starts) this season, Mitchell has averaged 17 touches for 92.6 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring three TDs on the ground. If Mitchell yields backfield reps to teammates, Jeff Wilson, JaMycal Hasty and Trenton Cannon are the candidates to pick up the slack, while Trey Sermon (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch.
