  • Travis Homer RB | PIT

Seahawks' Travis Homer: Not available Week 15

Homer (illness) wasn't activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list and won't be available for Tuesday's game against the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

As expected, Homer won't be available to play two days after he reportedly tested positive for the virus, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN.com. Since Henderson notes that Homer is vaccinated, he'll be eligible to return to the Seahawks' team facility as soon as he's deemed to be asymptomatic or until he tests negative on two consecutive occasions 24 hours apart. With Homer sidelined Tuesday, DeeJay Dallas is expected to serve as the Seahawks' top change-of-pace option behind starter Rashaad Penny.

  • Alex Armah FB | WAS

    Football Team's Alex Armah: Gets practice-squad call-up

Washington elevated Armah from its practice squad prior to Tuesday's game against the Eagles.

Though he's a fullback by trade, Armah took some reps at tight end in practice this week and could serve as the lone depth option at the position Tuesday behind John Bates in the event Ricky Seals-Jones (illness) -- who is listed as questionable -- isn't cleared to play. In nine appearances with the Saints earlier this season, Armah was deployed mostly as a blocker. He logged five carries for 21 yards and scored on a one-yard reception on his lone target across 67 snaps on offense.

  • Derrick Gore RB | WAS

Chiefs' Derrick Gore: Absent from offense in Week 15

Gore didn't log an offensive snap in Thursday's game against the Chargers.

Gore's workload had fluctuated in recent weeks, but he wasn't part of the offensive game plan in any capacity Thursday with both Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams available. It's unlikely that will change much moving forward as long as the pair are both available.

  • Jake Funk RB | JAC

Rams' Jake Funk: Activated off IR

The Rams activated Funk (hamstring) to the active roster Tuesday.

Funk was originally expected to be out for the season, but he is now back with the Rams' active roster and could potentially suit up Tuesday against the Seahawks. Although he is very close to being fully healthy, the running back will likely continue to mostly see the field on special teams.

  • Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ

Vikings' Kene Nwangwu: Impresses with limited touches

Nwangwu had three carries for 33 yards during Monday's divisional win over the Bears.

Nwangwu operated as the No. 2 option behind Dalvin Cook with Alexander Mattison (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and he showcased some explosiveness despite only logging three touches. He also returned two kickoffs for 51 yards. The rookie fourth-round pick isn't a likely candidate to return fantasy value as long Cook remains healthy, especially when Mattison returns to the lineup, but he's worth keeping an eye on in dynasty formats.

  • Salvon Ahmed RB | CHI

Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed: Does little with eight carries

Ahmed logged eight carries for 23 yards during Sunday's divisional win over the Jets.

Ahmed managed to clear the league's COVID-19 protocols in time to suit up Week 15, but he logged another disappointing fantasy performance, as has become routine for the 22-year-old. Through 12 appearances this season, Ahmed has compiled a dismal 2.8 yards per carry on 54 attempts and has been held out of the end zone entirely. Now, Duke Johnson appears to have passed him on the depth chart.

  • Kenjon Barner: Reverts to practice squad

Barner has reverted to the Buccaneers' practice squad, per the NFL's official transactions report.

Barner was inactive Week 15, despite having been elevated to the active roster. He hasn't appeared in a single game this season he but logged six appearances with the Buccaneers in 2020 as a special-teams contributor.

  • John Kelly RB | CLE

Browns' John Kelly: Serves on special teams

Kelly played six snaps on special teams in Monday's 16-14 loss to the Raiders.

Kelly was elevated to the active roster and served as the fourth back behind Nick Chubb, D'Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton. It was the fourth time that Kelly's been active for a game in 2021; he has two carries for 13 yards while playing three snaps on offense.

  • Browns' Demetric Felton: Increased activity in loss

Felton caught three of four targets for 16 yards and returned one kickoff for 24 yards in Monday's 16-14 loss to the Raiders.

With Kareem Hunt (ankle), Austin Hooper and Jarvis Landry all on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Felton saw an uptick in targets and playing time. He was on the field for a season-high 29 offensive snaps (52 percent). The rookie has made a bigger impact as a return man this season, but he was removed as the primary punt returner Monday after muffing a couple of punts in last week's win over Baltimore. Donovan Peoples-Jones took over as the punt returner.

  • Buccaneers' Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Three carries in loss

Vaughn rushed three times for 19 yards and failed to bring in either of his two targets in the Buccaneers' 9-0 loss to the Saints on Sunday night.

Vaughn, who was primarily active Sunday night due to Giovani Bernard's (hip/knee) placement on injured reserve earlier in the week, was called into action when Leonard Fournette exited early with a hamstring injury. While Vaughn's role still was modest (19 snaps), that may not be the case in coming weeks, considering Fournette could miss at least the Week 16 contest versus the Panthers, at minimum. In such a scenario, Ronald Jones still projects to helm the Bucs backfield, but Vaughn could be a key complementary option.
