Rachaad White RB | WAS
Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Posts 88 all-purpose yards in debut
White rushed seven times for 32 yards, brought in two of three targets for 13 yards and returned two kickoffs for 43 yards in the Buccaneers' 26-24 preseason loss to the Dolphins on Saturday night.
White was the third running back into the game for the Buccaneers behind Giovani Bernard and Ke'Shawn Vaughn, and he outproduced the latter by four yards with three fewer touches from scrimmage. White, a third-round rookie, gave a rock-solid accounting of himself in his first taste of NFL action, even flashing nicely on special teams with a 26-yard kickoff return. White and Vaughn will continue their summer battle for the No. 2 running back job in next Saturday night's preseason road matchup against the Titans.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Logs six touches Saturday
Walker rushed five times for 19 yards while securing his lone target for 11 yards during the Seahawks' 32-25 preseason loss to the Steelers on Saturday.
Walker served as a starter during Saturday's preseason opener since Rashaad Penny (groin) was kept off the field. Although Walker didn't reach the end zone, he was involved in the Seahawks' offense over the first few drives of the game. The 2022 second-round pick has drawn plenty of praise from coach Pete Carroll over the first few weeks of training camp, particularly for his abilities in the passing game. While Penny is a strong candidate to start if he's healthy once the regular season begins, Walker should also be in the mix for touches, especially if he continues to develop as a receiver and pass blocker.

Ke'Shawn Vaughn RB | SF
Buccaneers' Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Logs 12 touches in opener
Vaughn rushed 10 times for 19 yards and a touchdown and brought in both targets for 22 yards in the Buccaneers' 26-24 preseason loss to the Dolphins on Saturday night.
Vaughn was the second running back in for the Buccaneers behind Giovani Bernard, and although the former accomplished next to nothing on the ground, he did power into the end zone from one yard out with 6:34 remaining in the second quarter. Vaughn did have some success as a receiver, but he didn't keep up on per-touch production with his primary competitor for the No. 2 running back job, Rachaad White. The battle between Vaughn and White will be one to watch through the remainder of the summer and will feature its next installment in next Saturday night's road matchup against the Titans.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Texans' Marlon Mack: In line to play Saturday
Mack is slated to play in Saturday's preseason contest versus the Saints, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Meanwhile, Rex Burkhead is not expected to suit up. Notably, Mack was listed as the top running back on the Texans' first unofficial depth chart, so it stands to reason the coaching staff may hold a different view on the situation. In any case, rookie fourth-rounder Dameon Pierce will sub in for Mack and likely get a fair amount of action before halftime, while the team's remaining healthy RBs are Dare Ogunbowale, Royce Freeman and BJ Emmons.
-
Benny Snell RB | DET
Steelers' Benny Snell: Not likely to suit up Saturday
Snell (knee) is unlikely to play in Saturday's preseason game versus the Seahawks, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Snell took a seat at Thursday's practice, where he was seen with a large wrap on his right knee. That was scaled down to a sleeve by Saturday, but he wasn't in uniform ahead of the contest. It's unclear if top running back Najee Harris will join Snell in street clothes, but if both sit out, the Steelers backfield will consist of Anthony McFarland, Jaylen Warren, Mataeo Durant and Master Teague.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Unlikely to suit up Saturday
Mostert isn't in line to play in Saturday's preseason game at Tampa Bay.
Mostert and Chase Edmonds will be joined on the sidelines by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. In place of Mostert and Edmonds, the Dolphins backfield will be occupied by Sony Michel, Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed, Gerrid Doaks and ZaQuandre White on Saturday.
-
Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Dolphins' Chase Edmonds: Not on pace to play Saturday
Edmonds isn't slated to play in Saturday's preseason game in Tampa Bay.
Both Edmonds and Raheem Mostert will be unavailable in the Dolphins' preseason opener, joining starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the sideline. With Edmonds and Mostert out, the team's backfield will consist of Sony Michel, Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed, Gerrid Doaks and ZaQuandre White.

Brian Robinson Jr. RB | ATL
Commanders' Brian Robinson: Makes most of opportunity
Robinson gained 26 yards on six carries and a touchdown in Saturday's 23-21 preseason loss to the Panthers.
Robinson recorded his first carry on the team's third offensive possession. He ripped off gains of 11, six and five yards before finishing the drive with a one-yard plunge into the end zone. Robinson could continue to earn more of a role in the offense, particularly after Antonio Gibson fumbled deep in Washington's own territory Saturday.
-
Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Commanders' Antonio Gibson: Fumbles against Panthers
Gibson carried the ball two times for four yards and caught his only target for two yards in Saturday's 23-21 preseason loss to the Panthers.
Gibson didn't make much of his limited opportunity and also fumbled deep in Washington's own territory to end the team's second offensive possession. He re-entered the game with the second-team offense but added little to his stat line. It's unclear what this performance means for Gibson's potential to contribute during the regular season, but rookie Brian Robinson tallied six carries for 26 yards and a touchdown.

Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ
Bears' Khalil Herbert: Rushes for 20 yards
Herbert carried the ball seven times for 20 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Chiefs.
Herbert looks like the Bears' number two running back this season, but that meant he was the top back on the depth chart Saturday with David Montgomery (undisclosed) out. Herbert wasn't particularly efficient with his touches and also failed to pull in any of his three targets.
