Tyler Allgeier RB | ARI
Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Heavy red-zone involvement
Allgeier carried the ball six times for 17 yards in Monday's preseason loss to the Jets. He added three receptions on four targets for 12 yards.
Allgeier mixed in with Damien Williams while Atlanta's starters were on the field but also stayed in to play with the backups. Most notably, Allgeier had a significant role inside the red zone, carrying the ball three times while also tallying two catches on three targets inside the 20. Also of interest to Allgeier's potential role come the regular season, Cordarrelle Patterson lined up at wide receiver for his only offensive snap.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Plays one snap
Patterson did not record a statistic but did take the field during Monday's preseason loss to the Jets.
Damien Williams was the first back on the field for Atlanta, though Patterson took the field for the team's second play and lined up as a receiver. Patterson has played only one snap in each of the Falcons' first two preseason games, not enough to get a feel for his potential offensive role come the regular season. Regardless of where he lines up, Patterson should be a substantial part of the team's offensive game plan.

Patrick Laird RB | TB
Buccaneers' Patrick Laird: Quiet in Bucs debut
Laird rushed once for no gain and brought in his only target for one yard in the Buccaneers' 13-3 preseason loss to the Titans on Saturday night.
Laird, who'd just signed with the Bucs on Monday, logged a total of 10 snaps from scrimmage and five additional on special teams. The fourth-year pro had last seen game action back in Week 13 of last season with the Dolphins, and he figures in as a long shot to make the final 53-man roster with the team's top four running back spots seemingly set.

Breece Hall RB | NYJ
Jets' Breece Hall: Bottled up as starter
Hall carried the ball four times for one yard in Monday's preseason win over the Falcons.
Michael Carter (rest) didn't take the field, so Hall dominated playing time during the Jets' first two offensive possessions. He tallied all four of his carries in that span and found little room to run. It's unclear whether the team's choice to rest Carter and play Hall is an indication of their respective statuses on the depth chart, or if it was done to get Hall more work heading into his first NFL season.

Jashaun Corbin RB | NE
Giants' Jashaun Corbin: Gets into end zone Sunday
Corbin rushed nine times for 27 yards and a touchdown and added four receptions on four targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 25-22 preseason win over Cincinnati.
Corbin wasn't all that explosive -- he averaged only three yards per carry and didn't have any plays that went for longer than six yards -- but he did record the Giants' only rushing touchdown on a two-yard run up the middle in the second quarter. The rookie signed with New York as an undrafted free agent in the offseason, and he's battling with Gary Brightwell (undisclosed) and Antonio Williams to serve as depth at running back behind Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida (undisclosed). Corbin will have one more chance to flash his skills in preseason play when the Giants take on the Jets in their third and final exhibition contest Sunday.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Slated to suit up Monday
Coach Arthur Smith said any Falcon who is healthy is expected to play in Monday's preseason contest at the Jets, a group that includes Patterson, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Smith relayed the news on Monday Night Countdown on ESPN. This will mark Patterson's second appearance of exhibition season, after he went without a touch on his only offensive snap preseason Week 1 in Detroit. With Drake London (knee) and possibly Bryan Edwards (shoulder) out Monday, Patterson and Kyle Pitts represent the biggest names that will be available to Marcus Mariota.

Alex Armah FB | WAS
Alex Armah: Released from IR
Armah (undisclosed) was released from Washington's injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Armah was set to miss the entirety of the 2022 campaign after he landed on the Commanders' injured reserve with an unknown injury last Tuesday. Now, the fullback will be free to join a new squad once he presumably gets healthy heading into the regular season.

TJ Pledger RB | ARI
T.J. Pledger: Let go Monday
Pledger was waived by the Cardinals on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Pledger joined Arizona as an undrafted free agent out of Utah in May after earning a deal during a rookie minicamp tryout. He had four carries for eight yards and a catch for 15 yards between his two preseason appearances. Pledger will now work to find an opportunity elsewhere.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Kenyan Drake: In line to be released by Raiders
The Raiders plan to release Drake, Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed of The Athletic report.
Per the report, the move is slated to occur, barring an unlikely last-minute trade offer, but either way, the Raiders are moving on from Drake, who they signed to a a two-year, $11 million deal in March 2021. The running back suffered a season-ending ankle injury Week 13 last year, but he's moved past the issue and has played this preseason. Once he catches on with a new team, the 28-year-old will look to carve out an early-season role, but until that context is clarified Drake will profile as a speculative fantasy option.

Kyren Williams RB | LAR
Rams' Kyren Williams: Ready to roll
Williams (foot) will play in the Rams' third preseason game against the Bengals on Saturday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Williams will also compete in joint practices as he ramps up his workload in his recovery from the broken foot he suffered during OTAs. Selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams is expected to be competing with Jake Funk for the No. 3 spot on the Rams' running back depth chart.
