  • Packers' Patrick Taylor: Elevated to active roster

The Packers elevated Taylor from their practice squad Saturday to the active roster for Sunday's contest against the Bears.

With Kylin Hill (knee) sidelined, Taylor and Tyler Goodson competed during training camp for the No. 3 spot behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. However, the Packers opted to keep only two running backs on the initial 53-man roster, leaving Taylor and Goodson to sign practice-squad deals. Neither practice-squad player was elevated for Green Bay's season-opening loss, but Taylor will get the first look as the No. 3 RB in Week 2. Last year, he rushed 23 times for 89 yards and scored one touchdown across nine appearances. However, barring injuries, Taylor isn't expected to garner many touches against Chicago.

  • Falcons' Damien Williams: Moves to IR

Williams (ribs) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

The veteran tailback didn't practice all week, but considering Williams managed to return to the Week 1 contest after suffering the ribs injury, it's a bit surprising to see him shift to injured reserve. As a result, the 30-year-old will be out a minimum of four weeks.

  • Patriots' Pierre Strong: Listed as questionable for Week 2

Strong (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers after practicing in a limited fashion this week, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.

Now that Ty Montgomery (knee) is on injured reserve and in line to miss at least four games, Strong, if available Sunday, is a candidate to see some change-of-pace snaps in the New England backfield Sunday against the Steelers. That said, the team also has the option of elevating J.J. Taylor from the practice squad, plus Rhamondre Stevenson also could see more work in passing situations Week 2.

  • Raiders' Brandon Bolden: Doubtful for Week 2

Bolden (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cardinals after not practicing this week, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports.

With Bolden unlikely to suit up versus the Cardinals, Ameer Abdullah and Zamir White figure to see added complementary snaps behind behind starter Josh Jacobs in the Raiders' Week 2 backfield.

  • Saints' Dwayne Washington: Chance to play Sunday

Washington (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Washington was limited at practice all week but still has a chance to make his season debut Sunday. Alvin Kamara (ribs), Mark Ingram (ankle) and Washington are all questionable for Week 2, so it's unclear what the Saints backfield will look like against Tampa Bay.

  • Salvon Ahmed RB | CHI

Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed: Listed as questionable for Sunday

Ahmed (heel) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Ravens, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.

Ahmed didn't practice Wednesday but was limited Thursday and Friday. Even if Ahmed is available, it's unlikely he'll garner a major offensive role behind Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert and Myles Gaskin.

  • J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN

Ravens' J.K. Dobbins: Practices fully, but questionable

Though he was listed as a full practice participant this week, Dobbins (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Normally a week of full practice sessions would result in a player heading into his team's upcoming contest minus an injury designation, but with Dobbins working his way back from a major knee injury that he suffered during the Ravens' 2021 preseason finale, the team so far has fallen short of declaring him available for Week 2 action. Per Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Sun, Dobbins said Friday that he feels "amazing," but with regard to whether he'll suit up versus Miami, the running back noted, "We'll see." If he does make his season debut this weekend, some sort of snap count is plausible for Dobbins, with Kenyan Drake, Mike Davis and Justice Hill also available to handle backfield touches for Baltimore.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Clear for NFL debut

Walker (hernia) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in San Francisco, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

While he won't necessarily have a key role from the jump, Walker has been cleared to play. He should poach some carries from Rashaad Penny sooner or later, and the veteran's injury history means Walker has a good chance to serve as the lead runner at some point during his rookie season. The 2022 second-round pick starts off with a challenge, facing San Francisco's menacing front seven on the road.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Lions' D'Andre Swift: Status in question for Week 2

Swift (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Commanders.

Swift gutted out a sprain after rolling his ankle during the Lions' Week 1 loss to the Eagles, totaling 175 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD on 18 touches. The issue kept him out of drills both Wednesday and Thursday, but Swift was able to get on the practice field Friday in a limited capacity, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. Swift's availability for Week 2 won't be known until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, but if he's limited or out, he'll yield some or most of the team's running back reps to Jamaal Williams.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Questionable for Sunday

Kamara (ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Rod Walker of NOLA.com reports.

Kamara opened the week as a limited participant but now appears truly in doubt for Sunday after missing practice Thursday and Friday. Backup RB Mark Ingram (ankle) also is listed as questionable this week, though seemingly with better odds to play after managing limited practices Wednesday through Friday. Behind those two, the Saints have Tony Jones and Dwayne Washington (questionable - hamstring) as their other RBs on the roster.
