Malik Davis RB | DAL
Cowboys' Malik Davis: Ten touches in Sunday's win
Davis gained 23 rushing yards on eight carries and caught both his targets for 18 yards in Sunday's win over the Bears.
With Ezekiel Elliott (knee) sidelined, Davis saw his first action of the season on offense and had a solid performance as the Cowboys' No. 2 running back behind Tony Pollard. Dallas has a Week 9 bye and Elliott could be back in action the following week against the Packers, however, which would relegate Davis back to a special-teams role.

Snoop Conner RB | DAL
Jaguars' Snoop Conner: No touches in Week 8
Conner played one offensive snap during Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Broncos.
The 22-year-old was active for the first time this season but saw minimal action in his NFL debut. Travis Etienne is now Jacksonville's workhorse with James Robinson sent to the Jets, leaving JaMycal Hasty to work as a distant No. 2 option. Conner is unlikely to see much playing time while Etienne and Hasty remain in good health.

Devine Ozigbo RB | DET
Devine Ozigbo: Let go by Broncos
The Broncos waived Ozigbo on Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
Ozigbo's time in Denver came to an abrupt end Tuesday, after the team brought in running back Chase Edmonds via trade from the Dolphins earlier in the day. The 26-year-old saw just one carry across two games played in 2022 for the Broncos, but he'll now search elsewhere for a shot at more playing time this season.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Remains starting running back
GM George Paton said Tuesday that Gordon still is the Broncos' starting running back, despite the Broncos acquiring Chase Edmonds in the Bradley Chubb trade with the Dolphins, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Since Javonte Williams went down with a torn ACL in Week 4, Gordon has seen at least 52 percent of the offensive snaps in three of four games, with the exception a season-low 15 percent Week 6. Overall, Gordon racked up 46 touches for 213 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD during that stretch, while Latavius Murray and Mike Boone (ankle, now on IR) combined for 57 touches. Clearly, there are reps available in the Broncos backfield, and Paton indicated Edmonds won't necessarily challenge Gordon for the No. 1 spot on the depth chart. As a result, Gordon should continue to be involved while ceding touches to Murray and Edmonds moving forward.

Kenneth Gainwell RB | TB
Eagles' Kenneth Gainwell: Receives just one carry
Gainwell carried the ball once for three yards and caught his only target for eight yards in Sunday's win over Pittsburgh.
The Eagles won by a comfortable 35-13 score, but it was Boston Scott, not Gainwell, who got the garbage-time carries. Gainwell saw the field for just 14 offensive snaps and remains far from a fantasy-relevant role.
-
Boston Scott RB | PIT
Eagles' Boston Scott: Season-high seven carries
Scott gained 21 yards on seven carries in Sunday's win over the Steelers.
Scott's seven carries represented a new season high, but that was entirely the product of some garbage-time action in a game the undefeated Eagles won by 22 points. All of his touches came in the fourth quarter with Gardner Minshew under center to close out a comfortable victory. Scott remains unlikely to fill a fantasy-relevant role unless starting running back Miles Sanders gets hurt.

Elijah Mitchell RB | PHI
49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Aiming to play in Week 10
Mitchell (knee) is seeking to return to action in Week 10 against the Chargers, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Mitchell has been sidelined since spraining the MCL in his right knee in the season opener. Since then, the 49ers rode Jeff Wilson in the backfield until the recent acquisition of Christian McCaffrey. After two games with McCaffrey on the roster and Mitchell getting healthier by the week, the team opted to deal Wilson to the Dolphins, paving the way for Mitchell to be the No. 2 running back once he's healthy. In that regard, he'll have the benefit of a Week 9 bye. How he fares on the field next week, assuming he does get designated to return from IR, will determine whether or not he joins McCaffrey as an RB option for coach Kyle Shanahan in Week 10.
-
Patrick Taylor RB | SF
Patrick Taylor: Waived by Green Bay
The Packers waived Taylor on Tuesday.
After not suiting up for the season opener, Taylor appeared in seven straight games but played primarily on special teams. Him being cut suggests Kylin Hill will be activated from IR ahead of Week 9 to operate as the No. 3 running back behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. If Taylor clears waivers, Green Bay will likely re-sign him to a practice-squad deal.

Cam Akers RB | SEA
Rams' Cam Akers: May not return to L.A.
Akers (personal) is "hoping for a fair resolution" to his tenure with the Rams and prefers not to suit up for the team again in 2022 after he wasn't traded ahead of Tuesday's deadline, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
Though Akers is due a manageable $1.45 million for the final year of his rookie deal in 2023, the third-year back's middling production since he returned from a torn Achilles tendon in Week 18 of last season likely limited the interest of potential suitors. While Anderson relays that Akers' relationship with the Rams remains amicable since he stepped away from the team during Week 6 prep, the 23-year-old apparently believes he's best served moving on from the organization entirely rather than rejoining the team in a backup capacity. It's unclear if the Rams will concede to Akers' wishes, but if he is released, L.A. would proceed with Darrell Henderson, Ronnie Rivers, Malcolm Brown and Kyren Williams (ankle) as its options out of the backfield.

Zack Moss RB | CIN
Colts' Zack Moss: Sent off to Indy
The Colts acquired Moss and a conditional 2023 sixth-round pick from the Bills on Tuesday in exchange for Nyheim Hines.
With one of the NFL's top running backs in Jonathan Taylor atop the depth chart in Indianapolis, Moss won't have a path to extensive playing time in his new locale, but he'll at least have a better chance at seeing the field. In Buffalo, Moss hadn't played any snaps in the past two games while Devin Singletary and rookie James Cook slotted ahead of him, but the 24-year-old could get a fair opportunity to usurp Deon Jackson for Hines' vacated No. 2 role out of the backfield in Indianapolis. In the five games he played this season, Moss carried 17 times for 91 yards (5.4 YPC) and reeled in seven of his eight targets for 27 yards.
