Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ
Bears' Khalil Herbert: Will be activated for Week 16
Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Herbert (hip) will be officially reinstated from injured reserve Friday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Once the transaction is made official, Herbert will be back on the Bears' 53-man roster and thus eligible to make his return to action Saturday against the Bills after spending the minimum of four games on IR due to the hip issue. Herbert was cleared to resume practicing with the Bears on Tuesday and has apparently responded well to his on-field work, so expect him to step back in as the top complementary option to David Montgomery, who will likely see his opportunities take a hit with Herbert back in the fold. While both Montgomery and Herbert were available over a six-game stretch from Weeks 5 through 10, Herbert averaged 9.3 carries per contest.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Broncos' Latavius Murray: Misses practice Thursday
Coach Nathaniel Hackett noted that part of the reason Murray (foot) didn't practice Thursday was that the Broncos were practicing inside on turf, Mike Klis of 9News Denver and Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports
Per Klis, Hackett hopes Murray can play Sunday against the Rams, a notion that would be supported by the running back's return to practice Friday, in any capacity. In the event that Murray is sidelined or limited versus Los Angeles, however, Marlon Mack and possibly Chase Edmonds (ankle) would be in line to see added work out of Denver's backfield in Week 16.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Broncos' Latavius Murray: Won't practice Thursday
Murray (foot) won't practice Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Murray was listed as a limited participant Wednesday, but Denver head coach Nathaniel Hackett said the running back will be held out of Thursday's session entirely due to "some soreness" in his foot, according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com. While the mid-week downgrade in activity is a less-than-ideal development for Murray, he would be able to erase some of the concern about his status for Sunday's game against the Rams if he's able to practice in some capacity Friday. However, if Murray ends up sitting out or is available on in a limited capacity this weekend, Marlon Mack and Chase Edmonds (ankle) would be in line to see added work out of the Denver backfield.

Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Commanders' Antonio Gibson: Good to go for Week 16
Gibson (foot) won't carry an injury designation for Saturday's game in San Francisco, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.
Gibson was listed as a limited participant on the Commanders' first two Week 16 practice reports, but as anticipated, his foot issue never seriously threatened his availability for Saturday's contest. He'll likely fill his usual role as Option 1B in the backfield alongside rookie Brian Robinson. Though Robinson has handled more carries between the two backs in each of the past three games, Gibson has still taken on snap shares ranging between 40 and 62 percent in those contests while averaging 10 touches.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Browns' Nick Chubb: Cleared to play Saturday
Chubb (foot) isn't slated to carry an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Saints, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram and Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer report.
Per coach Kevin Stefanski, Chubb -- who was listed as a 'DNP' Tuesday and Wednesday -- looked good in his return to practice Thursday, which paves the way for the running back to suit up Saturday and continue to lead the Browns' backfield in Week 16. In last weekend's 13-3 win over the Ravens, Chubb carried 21 times for 99 yards, and this time around he'll be facing a New Orleans defense that is allowing an average of 132.6 rushing yards per game to date.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Browns' Nick Chubb: Back at practice
Chubb (foot) was present for practice Thursday, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Chubb was listed as a non-participant Tuesday and Wednesday, so his return to Thursday's practice is a positive development ahead of Saturday's game against the Saints. The Browns' upcoming injury report will clarify whether the running back heads into the weekend with a Week 16 injury designation or cleared to face New Orleans.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Spectator for last Week 16 practice
Walker (ankle) wasn't spotted practicing with the Seahawks' other healthy players during the media-access portion of Thursday's session, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Later Thursday, the Seahawks will release their final Week 16 injury report, with Bell expecting that Walker will be listed as questionable for Saturday's game in Kansas City after going down as a non-participant Tuesday and Wednesday. While a lack of practice activity won't disqualify Walker from potentially suiting up this weekend, it's not an especially ideal scenario for fantasy managers who are weighing whether to include the rookie back in lineups for Week 16. In what's otherwise been a mostly promising first NFL season, Walker is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry while collecting 11 receptions across his last four appearances, missing one game along the way (Week 14 against the Panthers) due to a lingering ankle injury. Even if Walker is cleared ahead of Saturday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, he could be on a restricted snap count while he manages the ankle issue.

DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC
Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Returns to practice Wednesday
Dallas (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
The limited session marks Dallas' first official on-field work since suffering an injury Week 13 that head coach Pete Carroll called "somewhat of a high-ankle issue" at the time, per Boyle. Dallas predictably has missed two outings as a result, but his return to drills Wednesday may indicate that a return to game action is possible Saturday at Kansas City. Thursday's injury report could be telling for his chances to do so, which also can be said for the Seahawks' top running back Kenneth Walker (ankle), who has yet to practice this week. After the team waived Tony Jones on Wednesday, Travis Homer is the only healthy member of the backfield on the active roster.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Sits out another practice
Walker (ankle) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
While Walker was spotted on the practice field Wednesday, he didn't record any activity for a second straight day, which affords him just one more chance to log reps this week. Thursday's session and the Seahawks' subsequent injury report will be key to determining whether he enters the weekend with a designation for Saturday's game at Kansas City. Fellow running back DeeJay Dallas (ankle) increased his activity from no participation Tuesday to limited work Wednesday, so he appears to be a step ahead of Walker. Notably, the Seahawks waived Tony Jones on Wednesday, so Travis Homer is the only healthy member of the backfield on the team's active roster at the moment.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Remains limited at practice
McCaffrey (knee) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
For a fourth week in a row, McCaffrey is enduring practice limitations due to a listed knee issue, but it hasn't stopped him from producing on game days. Over the last three contests, he's averaged 24.3 touches for 145.7 yards from scrimmage per game while recording four total touchdowns. Assuming he gains clearance to play Saturday against the Commanders, McCaffrey will be looking for a fourth consecutive performance with at last 138 total yards and one score.
