  • Jordan Mason RB | MIN

49ers' Jordan Mason: Rips off TD in garbage time

Mason rushed 10 times for 69 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 42-10 win over the Cowboys. He failed to bring in his lone target.

Elijah Mitchell (knee) remained sidelined for the second week in a row, affording Mason the opportunity to continue operating as the team's No. 2 backfield option. The special teams ace wound up playing 13 snaps on offense (18 percent), most of which came in the closing moments of Sunday's lopsided affair. Mason put the final nail in the Cowboys' coffin Sunday when he ripped off a 26-yard run in the fourth quarter for the 49ers' sixth and final touchdown of the contest. The 24-year-old finished as the team's leading rusher, but that had more to do with the crooked score as opposed to his role expanding. Fantasy managers should expect to see a handful of touches from Mason in Week 6 if Mitchell remains sidelined for next Sunday's tilt against Cleveland.

  • Emanuel Wilson RB | SEA

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Could see increase in usage

Wilson will operate as one of Green Bay's reserve options behind AJ Dillon on Monday night versus Las Vegas, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

With Aaron Jones (hamstring) inactive for the Packers' Week 5 matchup with the Raiders, Wilson will likely see an increase in usage. The running back has turned five carries into 11 yards this season and caught one pass for six yards while appearing in both of the contests Jones has previously missed. Wilson will likely operate as the third fiddle in Green Bay's backfield behind Dillon and Patrick Taylor on Monday Night Football.

  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Packers' AJ Dillon: In line for leading role Monday

Dillon is slated to lead the Packers backfield for Monday's game in Las Vegas with Aaron Jones (hamstring) inactive, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Dillon has operated as Green Bay's lead running back for most of the season due to Jones' lingering hamstring injury, but his production has been lacking, to say the least. Through four contests, Dillon is averaging just 2.7 yards on his 44 carries, hauled in three of five passes for 25 yards and scored no touchdowns. As for the team's RBs not named Dillon, Patrick Taylor and Emanuel Wilson also figure to get some reps Week 5.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Sitting out again Monday

Jones (hamstring) is listed as inactive Monday in Las Vegas, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Since pulling his left hamstring in the third quarter of a Week 1 win at Chicago, Jones now will have missed three games, with his only appearance Week 4 against the Lions resulting in six touches for 14 yards from scrimmage on a 34 percent snap share. The Packers have a Week 6 bye, so the team perhaps is hoping the extra time off allows Jones to get closer to 100 percent for the final 12 contests of the campaign. In Jones' stead, AJ Dillon is in line to pace Green Bay's backfield, with Patrick Taylor and Emanuel Wilson available for any RB reps that linger.

  • James Conner RB | ARI

Cardinals' James Conner: May miss time due to knee injury

Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday that Conner (knee) could be in line to miss "a little bit of time," Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Conner exited Sunday's loss to the Bengals in the second quarter and was unable to return after being diagnosed with a knee injury, the nature and severity of which have yet to be clarified. The Cardinals seemingly signaled that Conner was a candidate to miss a game or games by claiming Tony Jones off waivers Monday, but Gannon also noted that the transaction "doesn't mean anything for James right now." With Arizona slated to play at the Rams this coming Sunday, the team will post its first Week 6 practice report Wednesday, which may provide a better sense of Conner's upcoming availability. Emari Demercado ended up getting 10 carries and three targets in place of Conner in Week 5, turning them into 11 touches for 57 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD. Meanwhile, Corey Clement continued to stick solely on special teams and reverted to the Cardinals' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

  • Tony Jones RB | ARI

Cardinals' Tony Jones: Claimed by Arizona

The Cardinals have claimed Jones off waivers from the Saints, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

With starting RB James Conner dealing with a knee issue and Keaontay Ingram having missed back-to-back games with a neck injury, Jones gives the Cardinals some added backfield depth ahead of Sunday's contest against the Rams. Prior to being let go by New Orleans, Jones had logged 21 carries for 70 yards and two TDs to go along with four catches on six targets in four games.

  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: Limited to special teams again

Scott was not deployed for a single offensive snap yet again in the Eagles' Week 5 win over the Rams.

Scott's last touch came back Week 2 against the Vikings, as a concussion kept him out for Week 3 before he was limited to special-teams work Weeks 4 and 5. Even if Scott finds his way back into the game plan at some point down the line, he's unlikely to fill a major role.

  • Eagles' Kenneth Gainwell: Minor role in Week 5

Gainwell finished Sunday's 23-14 win over the Rams with seven carries for 17 yards and pulled in one of his two targets for seven more yards.

The Eagles backfield has settled into a distinct hierarchy in recent weeks, with D'Andre Swift the clear No. 1 option and Gainwell the clear No. 2. For the third consecutive week, no other back saw the field for a single offensive snap. Gainwell likely needs an injury to Swift to gain broader fantasy relevance, however, as he's averaged a modest 31 combined rushing and receiving yards on 9.7 touches per game over those three weeks. He's also yet to find the end zone this season.

  • Broncos' Javonte Williams: Listed as limited Monday

Williams (quad) was listed as a limited participant on Denver's estimated practice report Monday.

Williams missed Sunday's loss to the Jets after going down with the injury Week 4. The Broncos travel to Kansas City for Week 6 this Thursday night. In Williams' Week 5 absence, Samaje Perine led the backfield with 38 snaps to Jaleel McLaughlin's 21, but McLaughlin out-carried Perine, 9-6, and finished with 89 total yards and one TD on 12 touches. Perine led the team in receiving with a 4-73-0 line on five targets and added 22 yards on six carries.

  • Ty Chandler RB | NO

Vikings' Ty Chandler: Big play on special teams

Chandler had one carry for 15 yards on a fake punt to get a first down in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.

Chandler didn't play any snaps on offense, as he's been limited to special teams after the acquisition of Cam Akers.
