  • Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Will play Sunday

McKinnon (groin) has no injury designation and is slated to play in Sunday's Week 9 game against the Dolphins.

After missing practice Wednesday, McKinnon was able to get in limited work the remainder of the week and is good to go for a big game in Germany. On the year, McKinnon has rushed just 11 times for 21 scoreless yards and has seen three targets or fewer in seven of eight contests.

  • Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Sitting out again Friday

Demercado (toe) wasn't seen at the open portion of Friday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

If Demercado goes down as a non-participant for a third consecutive session due to his current toe injury, there's a chance the Cardinals outright rule him out ahead of Sunday's game at Cleveland. If that comes to pass, Arizona's backfield will be populated by Keaontay Ingram and Tony Jones, with the potential for Corey Clement and Hassan Hall to be elevated from the practice squad for Week 9 action.

  • Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR

Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Named Week 9 starter

Coach Frank Reich confirmed Friday that Hubbard will start at running back Sunday against the Colts, Steve Reed of The Associated Press reports.

Hubbard started the Panthers' previous two games, the first of which Miles Sanders missed due to a shoulder injury. Sanders returned in Carolina's 15-13 Week 8 win over the Texans, but Hubbard had 17 touches to Sanders' two. Reich said the two running backs will split carries against Indianapolis, so Hubbard may cede a larger portion of touches to Sanders despite maintaining his starting role.

  • Dameon Pierce RB | PHI

Texans' Dameon Pierce: Not expected to play Sunday

Pierce (ankle) is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Pierce didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday and appears to be trending toward missing Sunday's contest. If that ends up being confirmed by the Texans later Friday, Devin Singletary would be in line to step into an expanded role this weekend, with Mike Boone and Dare Ogunbowale in reserve.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Good to go for Frankfurt game

Mostert (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Kansas City, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Mostert was limited in practice Thursday and Friday after Wednesday's DNP, but he avoided an injury designation, sparing his fantasy managers the headache of having to check on the running back's status before Sunday's 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff from Frankfurt, Germany. Miami will be facing a Kansas City defense that will be missing key linebacker Nick Bolton (wrist) and possibly Willie Gay (lower back) as well, so Mostert could be in for a busy day if he's able to handle a full workload without being hindered by his ankle.

  • Najee Harris RB | LAC

Steelers' Najee Harris: Finds end zone in Week 9 win

Harris rushed 16 times for 69 yards and a touchdown and brought in two of four targets for seven yards in the Steelers' 20-16 win over the Titans on Thursday night.

Harris saw backfield mate Jaylen Warren outgain him by 19 yards on five fewer carries, but the former still put together a solid performance overall. Harris' yardage total was actually his second highest of the campaign, and he got the night off to a noteworthy start by recording a 10-yard touchdown run to cap off a game-opening 10-play, 78-yard drive for Pittsburgh. While Warren's career-best effort Thursday was impressive, it's likely Harris retains at least a slight advantage in workload during a Week 10 home matchup against the Packers on Nov. 12.

  • Jaylen Warren RB | PIT

Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Career-best performance in win

Warren rushed 11 times for 88 yards and secured all three targets for 25 yards in the Steelers' 20-16 win over the Titans on Thursday night.

Warren broke out for a career-best rushing yardage tally, notably outgaining backfield mate Najee Harris by 19 yards on five fewer carries. Despite his stellar effort Thursday, which also saw Warren come a half-yard short of the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter, it's likely Harris remains the lead back in terms of workload during a favorable Week 10 home matchup against the Packers on Nov. 12.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Well-rounded effort in loss

Henry rushed 17 times for 75 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of four targets for 27 yards in the Titans' 20-16 loss to the Steelers on Thursday night.

Henry turned in what can be labeled as a prototypical 2023 effort for him, as he made some solid contributions in the passing game alongside a workman-like effort on the ground. The bruising back scored his fourth touchdown of the campaign just past the halfway point of the second quarter as well on a two-yard run, making it an above-average fantasy night. Henry will look to extend his streak of at least 75 rushing yards to four games when the Titans visit the Buccaneers in a Week 10 road matchup on Nov. 12.

  • Gus Edwards RB | LAC

Ravens' Gus Edwards: Practices fully Thursday

    Edwards (toe) practiced fully Thursday.

Edwards missed Wednesday's practice, but the running back's return to a full session one day later paves the way for him to continue to lead the Ravens backfield Sunday against the Seahawks. In his team's Week 8 victory over the Cardinals, Edwards logged 34 of a possible 65 snaps on offense while recording a season-high 19 carries for 80 yards and three TDs to go with two catches for 14 yards. Barring any in-game setbacks, Edwards should continue to earn enough volume this weekend to merit consideration in Week 9 fantasy lineups.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Remains limited at practice

Jones (hamstring) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

For a second straight session to begin the week, Jones went through drills while wearing a red non-contact red jersey, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. Jones' lingering left hamstring injury is to blame, which so far his capped him to 29 carries, 10 catches, 244 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in four appearances this season. Friday's practice report will indicate whether or not he heads into the weekend with an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Rams.
