  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Eagles' D'Andre Swift: Still tending to ankle injury

Swift (ankle) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate.

Like he was a week ago, Swift is kicking off Week 13 prep with a cap on his reps at Wednesday's walkthrough. If he follows the same on-field routine this week, he'll remain a limited participant Thursday before upgrading to full activity Friday and clearing up any concern about his status for Sunday's game versus the 49ers. Swift didn't seem worse for wear this past Sunday against the Bills, turning 15 touches into 84 yards from scrimmage while handling a 63 percent snap share.

  • Saints' Kendre Miller: Still not practicing

Miller (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Miller hasn't practiced or played in a game since spraining his ankle Week 9 against the Bears. Even if he gets healthy within the next week or two, he'll have a hard time earning touches in an offense that also employs Alvin Kamara, Jamaal Williams and Taysom Hill.

  • De'Von Achane RB | MIA

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Remains limited in practice

Achane (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Achane also was listed as limited each day last week, after aggravating his knee injury in the first quarter of a Week 11 win over the Raiders. He ended up missing the Dolphins' 34-13 win over the Jets last Friday, but a return for this Sunday's game at Washington is possible given that the Dolphins reportedly aren't expecting him to be headed for another long-term absence. Jeff Wilson will likely serve as the top backup to Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle) again in the event Achane misses another game.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: No practice to start week

Mostert (ankle/knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Mostert was listed with the same pair of injuries last week and ended up taking 20 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-13 win over the Jets. He'll likely be able to play again this Sunday against the Commanders, though there's a chance he'll have to share some of the snaps at running back with De'Von Achane, who has been listed as a limited practice participant since injuring his knee in a Week 11 win over Las Vegas. Achane sat out the Week 12 victory over the Jets but isn't expected to require another long-term absence.

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Status in doubt for Thursday

Walker (oblique) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game in Dallas, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Walker has yet to practice since suffering an oblique injury Week 11 against the Rams, and his listing on the Seahawks' final Week 13 injury report Wednesday backs up a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network that the running back is in line to miss a second straight contest. Assuming he's indeed inactive Thursday, Walker will yield most of Seattle's backfield snaps to second-round pick Zach Charbonnet, while DeeJay Dallas and Kenny McIntosh will be the candidates to support the rookie.

  • Lions' David Montgomery: Dealing with foot injury

Montgomery was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a foot injury.

Montgomery has missed three games this season on account of thigh (Week 3) and rib injuries (Weeks 7 and 8), but it's unclear if his current foot issue is something that may threaten his availability for Sunday's game in New Orleans. In three appearances since returning to action Week 10, Montgomery has totaled 41 touches for 285 yards from scrimmage and three rushing scores, while rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs has accrued 46 touches for 280 total yards and three rushing touchdowns himself during that stretch. Montgomery's status will be monitored as the week goes along to see how the Lions backfield could break down Sunday.

  • Rico Dowdle RB | PIT

Cowboys' Rico Dowdle: In clear for Week 13

Dowdle (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Seahawks, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

For a second consecutive week, Dowdle is tending to an ankle injury, only this time he took part in more on-field work, as evidenced by his ability to practice fully Wednesday. He's thus set to resume his complementary role behind the Cowboys' No. 1 running back, Tony Pollard, which has amounted to 35 touches for 158 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in five games since the team's Week 7 bye.

  • Kareem Hunt RB | KC

Browns' Kareem Hunt: Sits Wednesday with groin injury

Hunt didn't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Hunt dealt with a groin injury earlier in the season, though it's unclear if his absence Wednesday was related to the prior issue or is a new concern. Either way, Hunt may have been playing hurt in this past Sunday's 29-12 loss to Denver, as Hunt's seven carries in that game marked his lowest total since Week 4. Hunt will have two more opportunities to return to practice this week, but if he fails to do so, additional backfield touches could be in store for Jerome Ford and/or Pierre Strong in Cleveland's run-heavy offense Sunday against the Rams.

  • Dolphins' Chris Brooks: Set to return to practice

The Dolphins designated Brooks (ankle) for return from their injured reserve Wednesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

The move opens a 21-day window during which Miami can evaluate Brooks in practice before activating him from IR. The Dolphins' injury reports this week will provide insight into whether Brooks has a chance to play Sunday in Washington, but even if he's activated from that contest, he'll be relegated to a depth role behind Raheem Mostert.

  • Jordan Mason RB | MIN

49ers' Jordan Mason: Bothered by hamstring

Mason missed Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.

Mason hasn't recorded a carry or drawn a target since Week 6 and has played just five snaps on offense over the last five games, but he remains a key member of San Francisco's special teams units, where he's logged double-digit snaps every contest this season. If Mason is unable to overcome his hamstring injury in time for Sunday's game in Philadelphia, Tyrion Davis-Price would step in as the No. 3 back behind Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell.
