  • Dolphins' Teddy Bridgewater: Hurts finger Sunday

Bridgewater was forced out of Sunday's game against the Patriots with a right finger injury.

Before exiting the contest, Bridgewater completed 12 of 19 pass attempts for 161 yards with a TD and a pick. In his absence, Skylar Thompson is in at quarterback for the Dolphins, with Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) inactive Sunday.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Possible for playoffs

Tagovailoa (concussion) plans to play again this season if the Dolphins make the playoffs, Fox's Jay Glazer reports.

Obviously that decision isn't fully in Tagovailoa's hands, both from the standpoint of the Dolphins making the playoffs, and in terms of getting clearance from the concussion protocol. Glazer didn't directly state it, but the report also suggests that Tagovailoa won't play in Week 18 against the Jets.

  • Eagles' Gardner Minshew: Starting again Sunday

Minshew is in line to start Sunday's game against the Saints in place of an inactive Jalen Hurts (shoulder), Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Minshew will be afforded a second consecutive start with Hurts tending to a sprained right throwing shoulder. In a Week 16 loss at Dallas, Minshew completed 24 of 40 passes for 355 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, scored a TD on the ground and also lost a fumble.

  • Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Ready for Week 17

Lawrence (toe) is officially active for Sunday's game at Houston.

The QB approached the contest listed as questionable after practicing in a limited fashion Thursday and Friday, but he'll be available versus the Texans for a game in which Adam Schefter of ESPN indicates the 7-8 Jaguars don't plan to rest key players ahead of the team's looming AFC South title showdown against the Titans on Week 18. Lawrence heads into Sunday's contest averaging 272.7 passing yards over the past seven games, and he has 14 touchdowns against just one interception during that stretch.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Officially out Sunday

Hurts (shoulder) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Saints.

Hurts provided a glimmer of hope when he returned to practice Thursday, but after putting together back-to-back limited sessions to end Week 17 prep, the Eagles listed him as doubtful to play Sunday due to the sprained right throwing shoulder that he suffered Week 15 in Chicago. He'll thus cede quarterback duties to Gardner Minshew on Sunday, while Hurts himself will attempt to put himself in position to return for a Week 18 matchup with the Giants.

  • Eagles' Gardner Minshew: In line to start Sunday

Minshew is slated to start Sunday's game against the Saints, Stacey Dales of NFL Network reports.

With Jalen Hurts (right shoulder) not in line to play Sunday, a notion that will be confirmed once the Eagles' inactives are posted ahead the team's 1:00 ET kickoff, Minshew is poised to make his second straight start. In the team's Week 16 loss to the Cowboys, Minshew completed 24 of 40 passes for 355 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, while adding four carries for five yards and another TD.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Not expected to play Sunday

Hurts (right shoulder) is not in line to play Sunday against the Saints, but he is expected to be available for the Eagles' Week 18 contest against the Giants, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Official confirmation of Hurts' Week 17 status will arrive when Philadelphia's inactives are posted ahead of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff, with the QB having been listed as doubtful by the team after logging limited practices Thursday and Friday. Assuming Hurts isn't available versus New Orleans, Gardner Minshew will be slated to make his second straight start, while the Eagles' approach with regard to whether or how much to play Hurts next weekend will presumably hinge on if the team has clinched the NFC's No. 1 seed or not.

  • Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Set to play in Week 17

Lawrence (toe) is in line to play Sunday at Houston, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Since suffering a sprained toe during a Week 13 loss at Detroit, Lawrence has endured a cap on his practice reps but has been able to play in each of the last three games, completing 77 of 115 passes (67 percent) for 915 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception and running 13 times for 79 yards and two more scores. This week, he followed up a DNP on Wednesday with back-to-back limited sessions before heading into the weekend listed as questionable. While Lawrence is set to continue leading the Jaguars offense Sunday, it won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Anthony Brown QB | BUF

Ravens' Anthony Brown: Signed to active roster

The Ravens signed Brown to their active roster Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Brown had been elevated from the practice squad each of the previous three weeks, so Baltimore was required to sign him to the active roster in order to deploy him as the backup to Tyler Huntley again Week 17. Brown has gotten into only one game thus far, completing three of five passes for 16 yards and rushing three times for minus-5 yards against Pittsburgh in Week 14. His backup role has coincided with Lamar Jackson's continued absence due to a knee injury.

  • Trey Lance QB | LAC

49ers' Trey Lance: Has follow-up surgery

Lance underwent a procedure Friday to extract hardware from his right ankle that was inserted during the initial surgery back in September.

Lance suffered a fibula fracture and ligament disruption in his right ankle Week 2 that ended his second campaign. The 49ers reported Saturday that as he proceeded through his rehab, the "close proximity proved to cause irritation" in the ankle in question, which, after reaching out to a number of experts, forced Friday's surgery. Lance is expected to be healthy by OTAs in May, but in the meantime the team will continue to operate with rookie Brock Purdy under center with Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) sidelined.
