Mac Jones QB | SF
49ers' Mac Jones: Listed as questionable
Jones (knee/oblique) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
With Brock Purdy (toe) ruled out again, Jones is gearing up to play through a pair of injuries. Jones was already fighting through a minor PCL sprain before injuring his oblique during last Thursday's win over the Rams. He was a limited practice participant all of this week, with reports suggesting he did far more throwing Friday after not doing much in the previous two practices. Fantasy managers will still want to keep an eye on the situation ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, with both Jones and WR Jauan Jennings (ankle) listed as questionable.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Ruled out for Sunday
Purdy (toe) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.
Purdy didn't practice this week, but there was progress reported in the form of increased activity with his side work, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Fellow 49ers QB Mac Jones (knee/oblique) is listed as questionable, but he'll likely get the start after practicing Thursday and Friday.

Cooper Rush QB | BAL
Ravens' Cooper Rush: Another spot start on tap
Rush will start Sunday against the Rams after the Ravens ruled out Lamar Jackson (hamstring) for that contest, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Earlier Friday, coach John Harbaugh declined to give a game designation for Jackson ahead of Week 6 action but added that if he doesn't play, Rush would get the nod under center, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com. Now that the preceding has come to pass, Rush will start his second straight game this weekend, though he'll be looking to be more productive after completing 14-for-20 passes for 179 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions during this past Sunday's 44-10 loss to the Texans.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Won't play Sunday
Jackson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
With Jackson set to miss his second straight game, Cooper Rush is in line to draw another start at quarterback for the Ravens this weekend. With the team on bye Week 7, Jackson will target a potential return to action Oct. 26 against the Bears.

Mac Jones QB | SF
49ers' Mac Jones: Doing more at practice Friday
Jones (knee/oblique) is practicing Friday and doing more throwing than the day before, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
It looks like Jones is preparing to start, while Brock Purdy (toe) is doing side work but not quite ready to practice. The 49ers still may leave the door open for Purdy to start if he makes progress this weekend, but the more likely scenario right now is Jones fighting through oblique and knee injuries to make another start this Sunday at Tampa Bay.

Kyler Murray QB | ARI
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Questionable for Sunday
Murray (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Murray returned to practice Friday, listed as a limited participant after sitting out the previous two days. He may be a game-day decision ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday, with Jacoby Brissett ready to step in and start after getting most of the first-team reps during practice this week.

Brock Purdy QB | SF
49ers' Brock Purdy: Limited to side work Friday
Purdy (toe) is doing side work Friday but still isn't practicing, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Second-string quarterback Mac Jones (knee/oblique) was taking snaps and throwing passes at the start of Friday's practice, after not doing much throwing during Thursday's session (he was listed as limited). The 49ers haven't ruled Purdy out for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, but Jones seems to be preparing for the start.

Shedeur Sanders QB | CLE
Browns' Shedeur Sanders: Named backup for Week 6
Head coach Kevin Stefanski announced Friday that Sanders will back up Dillon Gabriel against the Steelers on Sunday, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Sanders will take on the top backup role after the Browns traded Joe Flacco to the Bengals on Tuesday. Cleveland will go with a pair of rookies as options under center on their game-day roster while Bailey Zappe remains on the practice squad. Sanders has yet to throw a regular-season pass in the NFL but could get an opportunity if Gabriel struggles or gets hurt.

Kyler Murray QB | ARI
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Returns to practice
Murray (foot) is returning to practice Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon told reporters that Murray's availability for Sunday against the Colts will be based on the QB's progress over the next couple of days. A return to practice is at least a step in the right direction.
