Paxton Lynch QB | PIT
Broncos' Paxton Lynch: 'Very limited' in practice Wednesday
Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said Lynch (shoulder) was "very limited" in practice Wednesday, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.
Joseph labeled Wednesday's session as a "jog through," so none of the other players on the roster went through a particularly rigorous workout. Since the Broncos are playing the Chiefs on Monday night, Thursday will mark the team's first official practice session of the week, which should shed more light on Lynch's health. The quarterback has been sidelined since Aug. 26 after suffering a right shoulder sprain, making it unlikely that he'll be active Monday given his lack of practice time over the past two months. Once Lynch gets back to full speed, he could usurp Brock Osweiler for the top backup duties at quarterback, or even supplant starter Trevor Siemian, who has struggled with turnovers in recent weeks.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Says he needed 13 screws to repair collarbone
In a pre-taped interview for the TBS late-night talk show "Conan" set to air Thursday, Rodgers said that doctors inserted 13 screws into his right collarbone during his Oct. 19 surgery in Southern California, Jason Wilde of ESPN.com reports.
Dr. David J. Chao, the former head team doctor for the Chargers, relays that a typical procedure to repair a fractured clavicle usually necessitates around seven or eight screws. Chao called the 13 screws that Rodgers' surgery required an "extraordinary" sum, and something that would likely require a longer recovery timetable for the quarterback, assuming Rodgers was being forthright in his comments to host Conan O'Brien. Rodgers is already set to miss at least eight weeks after the team placed him on injured reserve Oct. 20, with the two-time MVP first eligible for activation for the Packers' Week 15 game against the Panthers. There's some optimism within the Green Bay organization that Rodgers will be able to resume throwing in six weeks and gain clearance to play before the regular season comes to a close, but his exact timeline will remain foggy until he's further along in the rehab process.

Case Keenum QB | CHI
Vikings' Case Keenum: Logs full practice
Keenum (chest) logged a full practice Thursday, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Keenum's health was never considered a serious concern for the Vikings, though it was surprising when he popped up on the injury report Wednesday with the chest injury. However, after advancing from a limited to full practice participant, Keenum should be on tap to make his third consecutive start in Week 8 against the Browns with Sam Bradford (knee) all but ruled out for the contest.

Sam Bradford QB | MIN
Vikings' Sam Bradford: Sits out practice Thursday
Bradford (knee) didn't take part in practice Thursday, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
It's somewhat encouraging that Bradford made the trip with the Vikings to London ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns, but since he's been on the sideline for the first two practices of the week, it's highly unlikely he'll be available for the Week 8 matchup. Case Keenum looks bound to pick up a third consecutive start with Bradford unavailable and Teddy Bridgewater (knee) trending toward a Week 10 return from the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Limited at Wednesday's practice
Winston (shoulder) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Winston played with a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills, completing 32 of 44 passes for 384 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The Buccaneers were expected to hold him out of Wednesday's practice to rest his shoulder, but they apparently decided that he was healthy enough to get in some work. The Week 7 results suggest this injury isn't a concern for Winston heading into Sunday's matchup with the Panthers.

Case Keenum QB | CHI
Vikings' Case Keenum: Limited with chest injury
Keenum was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a chest injury.
Keenum likely picked up the injury in Sunday's 24-16 win over the Ravens. It doesn't seem like a major concern for his availability for Sunday's game against the Browns in London. Keenum should get at least one more game in as the starting quarterback before he faces pressure from Teddy Bridgewater (knee) and/or Sam Bradford (knee) when the Vikings come out of a Week 9 bye.

Paxton Lynch QB | PIT
Broncos' Paxton Lynch: Practicing for first time in two months
Lynch (shoulder) returned to practice Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9 News Denver reports.
Lynch initially was expected to make a quick return from the shoulder strain he suffered in the preseason, but he ultimately ended up missing more than two months of practice. He resumed throwing a couple weeks ago, and while he's unlikely to be available for Monday's game in Kansas City, he could be back at some point in November. With Trevor Siemian unable to maintain to his strong start to the season, the Broncos eventually may have a quarterback controversy on their hands. Brock Osweiler has been serving as the backup all season and has only taken seven snaps.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: No practice Wednesday
Winston (shoulder) won't practice Wednesday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
As he did a week ago, Winston is resting the AC joint sprain in his right (throwing) shoulder to limit any chance of an aggravation. If he follows a similar plan this week, he'll also miss Thursday's session before taking every practice rep with the first-team offense Friday. Because that plan helped work wonders for Winston this past Sunday in Buffalo to the tune of 384 yards and three touchdowns, the Bucs can be confident that he'll be ready for Sunday's matchup with the Panthers.
-
Sam Bradford QB | MIN
Vikings' Sam Bradford: Absent from first practice of week
Bradford (knee) wasn't present for the Vikings' practice Wednesday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Bradford has missed the last two games after experiencing renewed swelling in his left knee, and his absence Wednesday suggests he's trending toward sitting out again Sunday against the Browns. It's unclear how much progress Bradford has made in his recovery to date, or if he'll even take the field again this season. Case Keenum is expected to continue serving as the Vikings' starting quarterback until at least Week 10, when Teddy Bridgewater (knee) could be ready to return from injury and challenge Keenum for the top spot on the depth chart.

Mike Bercovici QB | ARI
Mike Bercovici: Signed to Cardinals' practice squad
Bercovici signed with the Cardinals' practice squad Tuesday, Mike Jurecki of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.
With Carson Palmer out for an extended period of time with a broken arm, the Cardinals will bring in Bercovici as nothing more than an emergency option at quarterback. He was most recently released by the Chargers prior to the start of the regular season.
