Garoppolo was taken to the locker room on a cart with a left knee injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Garoppolo was shaken up on a hit midway through the fourth quarter and slowly walked to the sideline. After an evaluation in the sideline tent, he promptly was carted to the locker room. The injury is worrisome, to say the least, but little will be known until coach Kyle Shanahan makes his obligatory post-game news conference. If Garoppolo misses any time, the 49ers offense will be lead by C.J. Beathard.

Mariota (elbow) completed 12 of 18 passes for 100 yards while adding 51 yards on seven carries in Sunday's 9-6 win over the Jaguars.

Mariota didn't start the contest, but a helmet-to-helmet hit in the first quarter knocked Blaine Gabbert out and forced Mariota into the game. The second overall selection in the 2015 draft only threw for 10 yards in the first half, but he did add 26 on the ground and led his team to one field goal. He was a bit better after the break, leading the offense to two more field goals, which was enough to eke out a low-scoring win. Mariota is operating at less than 100 percent, so owners are probably better off looking elsewhere even if he gets the start next week against the Eagles.

On third and goal from the Chiefs' 20-yard-line, Garoppolo tried to keep his legs churning on a 13-yard run but came up on the losing end on a hit from cornerback Steven Nelson. Garoppolo seemed to tell team trainers that his left leg was the area of the injury before entering the sideline tent, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. If Garoppolo doesn't return, C.J. Beathard will play out the remainder of the game.

Gabbert was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Jaguars due to a concussion, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Gabbert started Sunday's game, but he was only out there long enough to complete one of three pass attempts for eight yards. Initially, the Titans had hoped to rest usual starter Marcus Mariota, who has been dealing with an elbow issue. However, he was forced into action in Week 3, given that Tennessee currently rosters just two QBs.

Gabbert took a sack and fumbled -- which the Titans recovered -- midway through the first quarter and left the contest, allowing Marcus Mariota (elbow) to make his first appearance since Week 1. As the only two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster, Mariota will be required to remain in the game unless Gabbert passes his concussion evaluation.

Sudfeld is a coach's decision inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Sudfeld returns to his position as the No. 3 quarterback now that Carson Wentz (knee) is returning to action. Sudfeld isn't likely to suit up or see the field unless both Wentz and Nick Foles go down with injuries in future weeks.

His mobility was clearly hindered, though, and will be tested further in what will be rainy conditions in Landover, Md. this Sunday.

While filling in for Mariota in Week 2 against the Texans, Gabbert underwhelmed with 13 completions on 20 attempts for 117 yards and a touchdown, but his performance was good enough to guide the Titans to a 20-17 win.
