Daniel Carlson K | LV
Raiders' Daniel Carlson: Active in Week 8
Carlson (groin) is listed as active Monday at Detroit.
Carlson managed only one limited practice in advance of this Week 8 contest, but his groin injury won't impact his availability Monday. He'll thus be facing a Lions team that has given up the ninth-fewest field-goal attempts (14) and 12th-fewest point-after tries (14) to opposing kickers this season.

Chase McLaughlin K | TB
Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Long field goal in Week 8 loss
McLaughlin connected on a 57-yard field goal but had a 50-yard attempt blocked in the Buccaneers' 24-18 loss to the Bills on Thursday night. He made his only extra-point try.
McLaughlin had the elation of tying a career best with his 57-yard field goal partly offset by the blocked attempt, but he continues to be a highly reliable real-world scoring option for the Buccaneers. That's slightly less the case from a fantasy perspective, considering McLaughlin has logged as many as three field-goal attempts just once this season and has attempted two extra points overall over the last three games. The fifth-year pro could have more opportunities to put points on the board in a Week 9 road matchup against a Texans defense that is beatable enough to give up some yardage but sufficiently stout so as to force some field-goal attempts.

Daniel Carlson K | LV
Raiders' Daniel Carlson: Slated to play Monday
Carlson (groin) is in line to be the Raiders' placekicker Monday at Detroit, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After missing the first two practices of Week 8 prep due to a groin injury, Carlson was able to log a limited session Saturday and put himself in a position to play Monday. The Raiders won't confirm his availability until about 90 minutes before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, but it appears as if Carlson will be active and James McCourt may be a healthy scratch for Las Vegas after the latter was elevated from the practice squad.

Jake Moody K | WAS
49ers' Jake Moody: Clean outing Sunday
Moody converted his only field-goal attempt from 36 yards out and went 2-for-2 on extra-point attempts in Sunday's 31-17 loss to Cincinnati.
Moody spent most of this contest on the sidelines after San Francisco's offense was held to 17 points for the third consecutive week. On the bright side, the rookie kicker converted all three of his attempts Sunday after missing kicks in each of his previous two outings. Moody enters the 49ers' upcoming bye week with an 80 percent success rate on field goals while converting all 26 of his point-after tries through the first eight games of his pro career. San Francisco will resume play in Week 10 against Jacksonville.

Younghoe Koo K | NYG
Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Makes five kicks in loss
Koo made all three of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans.
Koo was really the only bright spot for Atlanta in the first half. He connected on a trio of field-goal attempts, including a 49-yarder, to keep the Falcons in the game. It was the third time this season that Koo has made at least three field goals, and he's now 16-for-17 on the season.
-
Matt Gay K | SF
Colts' Matt Gay: Perfect in loss
Gay converted both of his two field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 38-27 loss versus New Orleans.
Gay remained effective in Week 8, drilling all the kicks he was called on for versus the Saints. He's up to an 87.5 percent conversion rate on field-goal tries on the season, and he's still perfect on extra-point attempts in 2023. In Week 9, the Colts will travel to take on an unexceptional Carolina defense.

James McCourt K | LV
Raiders' James McCourt: Could kick for Vegas on Monday
The Raiders elevated McCourt from their practice squad prior to Monday's game against the Lions, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The decision to elevate McCourt would seem to hint that the Raiders may have some doubt about the availability of kicker Daniel Carlson (groin), who is listed as questionable ahead of Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. The Raiders will release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to that point, which will shed light on whether Carlson will suit up. If Carlson is sidelined for the Week 9 contest, McCourt would be on track to make his NFL debut. During his collegiate career at Illinois, McCourt converted 37 of 52 field-goal attempts (71.2 percent).
-
Lucas Havrisik K | GB
Rams' Lucas Havrisik: Makes both field-goal tries
Havrisik connected on both of his field-goal attempts during Sunday's 43-20 loss to the Cowboys.
So far, so good for the newly minted Rams kicker, who made field goals from 33 and 47 yards during the contest. Havrisik, who replaced Brett Maher after the Rams released him on Tuesday, never got to attempt a PAT as the Rams went for two after both of their touchdowns, but coach Sean McVay will likely stand pat with the former Arizona Wildcat for Los Angeles' Week 9 contest with Green Bay.
-
Greg Joseph K | LV
Vikings' Greg Joseph: Struggles continue at Green Bay
Joseph converted one of his three field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 24-10 win at the Packers.
Joseph failed to convert on two kicks for the third straight game in Week 8. In his defense, one of his field-goal attempts was blocked Sunday, and conditions were unfavorable for special-teams operations as they tend to be in late October in Green Bay. Either way, down the stretch, Minnesota will justifiably expect him to make kicks at a better rate than he has over the last few weeks.

Harrison Butker K | KC
Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Busy as offense struggles
Butker converted all three of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 24-9 loss at Denver.
He did not record an extra-point try in Week 8, the first time that's happened since 2021. Butker still salvaged his fantasy day, though, and he cashed in on a 56-yarder at the end of the first half to reward managers whose leagues put a premium on longer attempts. The Chiefs will take on a middling Dolphins defense in Frankfurt in Week 9.
