Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Another TD in Week 7 win

Kyle Pitts brought in all five targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in the Atlanta Falcons' 29-20 win over the 49ers on Sunday.Pitts tied for second in receptions and targets for the Falcons on the afternoon, but he averaged just 4.4 yards per catch. However, the veteran tight end did score for the third consecutive game, recording a five-yard touchdown catch with just under nine minutes remaining in the third quarter. Pitts' production will inevitably fluctuate week to week, but he's clearly established himself as a reliable red-zone target for Michael Penix heading into a Week 8 road matchup against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Two more scoring grabs in loss

Kyle Pitts brought in five of seven targets for 60 yards and two touchdowns in the Atlanta Falcons' 31-23 loss to the Bears on Sunday.Pitts led the Falcons in receptions and was second and third in targets and receiving yards, respectively. The veteran tight end helped fuel an Atlanta comeback in the fourth quarter with touchdown grabs of 10 and five yards, his second and third scoring catches in the last two games. Pitts has also now posted back-to-back five-catch tallies as a Week 7 home matchup against the 49ers approaches on Sunday.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Scores first TD of season

Kyle Pitts caught five of six targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-23 overtime loss to the Ravens.Pitts scored his first touchdown of the season on a five-yard reception in the second quarter. He has stirred to life after a painfully slow start, recording eight catches for 89 yards and a TD over the last two games after having just two catches for 20 yards through Week 3. Michael Penix sustained a rib injury late in the game, and while Tua Tagovailoa proceeded to throw the game-losing interception in overtime, it's worth noting that Pitts was Tagovailoa's primary target in the preseason. Atlanta's QB situation will bear monitoring ahead of a Week 6 home game against the Bears.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Uptick in production during big win

Kyle Pitts secured all three targets for 47 yards in the Atlanta Falcons' 45-24 win over the Saints on Monday night.Pitts finished second in receptions and tied for runner-up status in targets on a night when Michael Penix didn't have to do an inordinate amount through the air thanks to the ground attack's exploits. Despite the relatively modest numbers, Pitts' final line was a vast improvement over his first three games of the season, when he'd mustered just a 2-20-0 line on six targets. Pitts' uptick in involvement could have some sticking power given his rapport with Penix, and the duo will look to continue clicking into a Week 5 home matchup against the Ravens on Sunday night.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Limited to one catch in win

Kyle Pitts secured one of two targets for five yards in the Atlanta Falcons' 35-14 win over the Packers on Thursday.Pitts' slow start persisted Thursday despite Michael Penix making his season debut and taking the reins of the offense from the ineffective duo of Cooper Rush and Jack Strand. Pitts has managed just two receptions for 20 yards on six targets through three games, but given how sharp Penix looked right out of the gate Thursday, the duo is bound to start clicking in coming games as they've done previously.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Records first catch of season

Kyle Pitts brought in one of three targets for 15 yards in the Atlanta Falcons' 34-3 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.Pitts was able to make his mark in the catch column for the first time in the new season, but that one reception turned out to be his only contribution on the afternoon. However, given Cooper Rush and Jack Strand combined to throw for only 145 yards and three interceptions, Pitts' sparse production is largely explained away. The talented tight end figures to see his outlook brighten whenever Michael Penix (knee) or Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) are able to suit up, with a Week 3 Thursday night road matchup against the Packers their next opportunity to do so.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Blanked in season-opening loss

Kyle Pitts failed to bring in his only target in the Atlanta Falcons' 20-13 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.Fresh off having recorded a career-best 88 receptions a season ago, Pitts was clearly impacted by the fact the Falcons were without their top two quarterbacks due to injury. Spot starter Cooper Rush was harassed into two interceptions and took four sacks, and when has able to successfully get a pass off, it typically landed in the hands of Bijan Robinson. Pitts' outlook will brighten when either Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) or Michael Penix (knee) are under center, and that could happen as soon as a Week 2 home matchup against the Panthers next Sunday.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Productive preseason finale

Kyle Pitts caught all three of his targets for 59 yards in Friday's 17-12 preseason win over the Dolphins.Pitts has shown excellent chemistry with QB Tua Tagovailoa during the preseason, accounting for 81 of Tagovailoa's 117 passing yards across parts of two preseason games. It remains to be seen whether Tagovailoa or Michael Penix (knee) will get the starting nod under center for Week 1 against the Steelers. Either way, Pitts is poised to maintain a prominent role on the heels of his 928-yard 2025 regular season.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Accounts for all three of Tua's completions

Kyle Pitts caught three of four targets for 22 yards in Friday's 27-7 preseason loss to the Broncos.Pitts accounted for all three of Tua Tagovailoa's completions across their two drives in the game. Tagovailoa has the inside track on Atlanta's Week 1 starting job under center, so it's encouraging that Pitts is showing some early chemistry with the offseason QB addition. The Atlanta Falcons' second preseason game will be Aug. 22 at Indianapolis.

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Agrees to three-year extension

Kyle Pitts and the Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms Tuesday on a three-year, $54 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.Atlanta extended Pitts a franchise tender earlier this offseason, but both sides have agreed to terms on a multi-year deal that includes $36 million fully guaranteed. Per Schefter, Pitts' annual average salary makes him the third-highest paid tight end in the league behind George Kittle (Achilles) and Trey McBride. The Falcons also signed Drake London (undisclosed) to a massive four-year contract in early June, while Bijan Robinson remains a candidate for a new deal after the team exercised the fifth-year option on his rookie deal. Pitts produced an 88-928-5 line (118 targets) in 17 regular-season games last year and will look to build chemistry with quarterbacks Michael Penix (ACL) and Tua Tagovailoa this offseason.
