Ravens' Derrick Henry: Shut down for second straight game

Derrick Henry rushed 17 times for 45 yards and brought in one of two target for four yards in the Baltimore Ravens' 35-13 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.Henry averaged below 3.5 yards per carry for the second consecutive game against a divisional opponent, and Sunday's inefficiency also dropped his season per-carry average under 4.0 (3.9). The bruising back does have seven rushing touchdowns on the season, but none have come within the last three games. Henry will look to bounce back to his usual level of production in a Week 8 road showdown against an improved Bills run defense next Sunday.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Stymied by Browns in loss

Derrick Henry rushed 17 times for 58 yards and brought in his only target for two yards in the Baltimore Ravens' 13-10 loss to the Browns on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.Henry looked like he was on his way to one of his signature performances when he rattled off 11- and 17-yard gains on Baltimore's opening possession, but the veteran back found running room at a premium for most of the rest of the contest. Henry finished without a touchdown for the second straight game and tallied his lowest rushing yardage total of the campaign, rounding out a disappointing day for the Ravens overall. Henry will aim to bounce back in a Week 7 home divisional matchup against the Bengals next Sunday.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Over 100 rushing yards with receiving TD

Derrick Henry rushed 24 times for 102 yards while catching one of two targets for an 18-yard touchdown in Sunday's 30-23 overtime win over the Falcons. He also ran in a two-point conversion.Henry unsurprisingly worked as the focal point of Baltimore's offense in the absence of Lamar Jackson (ankle). The star running back pulled the Baltimore Ravens within two points with his 18-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. Baltimore's two-point conversion attempt after that touchdown failed, but Henry took matters into his own hands to convert a game-tying two-point conversion out of the wildcat formation with 40 seconds left in the fourth quarter. He then tacked on 32 rushing yards on Baltimore's touchdown drive in OT to top the century mark on the ground for the first time since Week 1. Henry has opened his 11th NFL season with a five-game touchdown streak, producing seven rushing touchdowns and one receiving score ahead of a Week 6 trip to Cleveland.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Gets into end zone in Week 4 win

Derrick Henry carried the ball 23 times for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-18 win over the Titans. He also caught both his targets for six yards. The star RB found the end zone for a fourth straight game to begin the season, rumbling in for a five-yard score on the Baltimore Ravens; first possession. Henry already has seven rushing TDs, putting him firmly on pace for his ninth straight season in double digits, to go along with 374 rushing yards on 4.2 yards per carry. He'll look to extend his TD streak in in a Week 5 road trip to Atlanta.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Scores twice in Week 3 win

Derrick Henry rushed 26 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns while catching his lone target for no gain in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Cowboys.Henry scored a four-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter and a three-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter, but he was denied the hat trick in the fourth quarter, when a would-be third rushing score was ruled down at the 1-yard line on replay, and Henry's subsequent effort to get in on fourth down was stuffed. The 32-year-old Henry is showing no signs of slowing down, as he has six touchdowns through three games and is averaging just over 100 rushing yards per game heading into a Week 4 home game against the winless Titans.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Gets into end zone in Week 2 loss

Derrick Henry carried the ball 16 times for 68 yards and a touchdown and caught all three of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Saints. The five-time Pro Bowler punched it in from one yard out on a wildcat snap late in the first quarter to open the scoring. Henry wasn't able to break any big gains, however, with his longest run going for just eight yards. He's made four trips to the end zone in two games to begin the season, piling up 214 rushing yards and 38 receiving yards as well, and Henry will look to keep rolling in a Week 3 road trip to Dallas.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Dominant in Week 1 win

Derrick Henry rushed 24 times for 144 yards and three touchdowns and brought in his only target for 19 yards in the Baltimore Ravens' 41-23 win over the Colts on Sunday.Much like he'd done at the expense of the Bills in Week 1 of last season, Henry turned in one of his signature performances right out of the gate, and he struck for his first two touchdowns in the first half from four and 32 yards away. The superstar running back added a three-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter, and he consistently ripped off chunk gains throughout the afternoon at the expense of an overwhelmed Colts front. Henry's workload won't change under new head coach Jesse Minter if Sunday is any indication, and the perennial Pro Bowl back carries a stellar outlook for a Week 2 home matchup against a Saints defense that the Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs gashed for 156 rushing yards and two touchdowns Sunday.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: No new competition for touches

Derrick Henry will head into the Baltimore Ravens' Week 1 game against the Colts with Justice Hill and Rasheen Ali as his backup options, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.Though Keaton Mitchell is now with the Chargers after the Ravens non-tendered him back in the spring, Henry will be supported by a pair of familiar sidekicks. Ali is expected to serve as the Ravens' primary kickoff returner and will see most of his snaps on special teams, while Hill returns to his usual role as the top change-of-pace option. Rookie fifth-round pick Adam Randall (undisclosed) could also factor into the equation at some point this season, though not until at least Week 5 after the Ravens placed him on injured reserve. The makeup of the backfield once again points to the 32-year-old Henry handling a workhorse role in 2026, after he averaged 19.6 touches and exactly one touchdown per game over the prior two regular seasons.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Expected to maintain workload

Derrick Henry is expected to get his normal workload this season but will also be more involved in the passing game, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.Henry has logged 280-plus carries in six of his last seven seasons, with the exception being 2021 with the Titans when he was limited to 219 carries in eight regular-season games due to a foot injury. He's routinely seen some of the highest usage among running backs the last few years, and that trend doesn't look like it's going to change in 2026 under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, who oversaw Chicago's third-ranked rushing attack last year. The play calling for Henry may look different, however -- the veteran running back has seen more designed runs to the perimeter in training camp, and he's also expected to see more work as a pass catcher. He's the unquestioned bell cow for the Baltimore Ravens, forming a lethal one-two punch with Lamar Jackson while Justice Hill, Rasheen Ali and rookie fifth-rounder Adam Randall provide depth.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Adjusting to new offense

Baltimore Ravens coach Jesse Minter said Derrick Henry has "run every scheme throughout his career" but will still need to adjust to terminology changes under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.Henry and other Ravens have expressed excitement about Doyle's scheme, with the 32-year-old running back telling reporters this offseason that "change can be good," and "everything is new, so we're all just trying to learn." Quarterback Lamar Jackson and wide receiver Zay Flowers made stronger comments during the offseason program, both praising Doyle for originality/creativity. The Ravens lost some key pieces of their running game this offseason, namely C Tyler Linderbaum and FB Patrick Ricard, but they also improved at the guard spots and still have a strong core of veteran standouts on both sides of the ball. Henry finished second in the league in rushing yards each of his first two seasons in Baltimore, and after a red-hot finish to the 2025 season, he's again going in the second round of most fantasy drafts.
