Spears (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Spears took a step in the right direction after missing three straight practices leading up to his absence in this past Sunday's loss to the Bills. If Spears ultimately gains clearance to suit up Sunday in Detroit, he would likely reclaim a change-of-pace role behind Tony Pollard in Tennessee's backfield.
