His return to the practice field Sunday for the first time in nearly three weeks is a positive sign, but it's still unclear what his activity level will be. The superstar running back is unlikely to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Raiders, with the focus instead on having McCaffrey 100 percent healthy for Week 1 against the Rams on Thursday, Sept. 10.
