McCaffrey (hamstring) took part in the open portion of Friday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN reports.
McCaffrey already has one capped session (Thursday) under his belt this week and again appears set to be listed as at least limited Friday, at which point the 49ers may tag him with a designation for Sunday's game versus the Raiders.
