Victor Wembanyama C | SA
Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Sensational in Saturday's victory
Wembanyama finished Saturday's 121-111 win over the Timberwolves with 43 points (17-34 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 6-9 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, six blocks and one steal over 33 minutes.
After posting a season-high 36 points against the Jazz on Wednesday, Wembanya one-upped himself Saturday with a game-high 43 points, which was the second-most of his four-year NBA career (50 points on Nov. 13, 2024, against the Wizards). His 34 field-goal attempts were a career high, and unsurprisingly, the 2023 first-overall pick contributed defensively with six swats. Wembanyama will end the month of October having averaged 28.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.8 threes, 4.2 blocks and 1.3 steals over 32.3 minutes per game.

Kel'el Ware C | MIL
Bucks' Kel'el Ware: Double-doubles off bench
Ware finished Saturday's 136-111 loss to the Cavaliers with 19 points (6-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 24 minutes.
Most of Ware's production came in the fourth quarter, when the game was already well out of reach for the Bucks. Still, the third-year big man made the most of his opportunity and ended up leading Milwaukee in both points and rebounds en route to his third double-double of the season. All three of those double-doubles have come over his last four outings, and in that span, Ware has averaged 15.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.0 blocks over 22.2 minutes per game while connecting on 42.9 percent of his field-goal attempts. Even with his strong output as of late, Ware's production ceiling will continue to be limited while coming off the bench and working behind starters Myles Turner and Kyle Kuzma.

Anfernee Simons SG | PHI
76ers' Anfernee Simons: Productive on both ends Saturday
Simons finished with 19 points (6-12 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists and three steals across 25 minutes in Saturday's 109-104 victory over Charlotte.
LeBron James (rest) and Joel Embiid (foot) did not suit up for this contest, so there were extra scoring opportunities up for grabs. While Simons couldn't hit the 20-point mark for the third consecutive game, he still shined on both ends of the floor. The 27-year-old is now averaging 12.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting a career-best 43.8 percent from deep over 24.7 minutes per contest in seven regular-season games in 2026-27. With the 76ers loaded with All-Stars, Simons likely won't be as productive as he was during his time in Portland, though he should continue to get plenty of playing time off the bench.

Jaylen Brown SF | PHI
76ers' Jaylen Brown: Underwhelms in 38 minutes Saturday
Brown ended with 16 points (6-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-7 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals across 38 minutes in Saturday's 109-104 win over the Hornets.
Brown didn't play in Friday's 98-93 win over the Knicks, but he was back on the floor Saturday. Despite the absences of Joel Embiid (foot) and LeBron James (rest), the former Celtic ended the night by tying his season low in points. Brown continues to experience growing pains early in his tenure with the 76ers and is now averaging 19.8 points, 8.9 fewer than he averaged during his final season with the Celtics in 2025-26.

Jeremiah Fears SG | NO
Pelicans' Jeremiah Fears: Scores 20 points against New Orleans
Fears posted 20 points (9-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and one steal over 31 minutes during the Pelicans' 121-99 win over the Hawks on Saturday.
Fears filled up the box score for a second consecutive game, leading the Pelicans in assists while finishing as the team's second-leading scorer behind Saddiq Bey (25 points). Fears struggled with his shot over his first four games of the 2026-27 regular season, but he's gone 18-for-28 (64.3 percent) from the field over his last two outings, including 4-for-7 from three-point range. The second-year pro is trending in the right direction and will have momentum on his side heading into Monday's road tilt against the Grizzlies.

Tyrese Maxey PG | PHI
76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Shines in win over Charlotte
Maxey finished with 38 points (13-23 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals across 38 minutes in Saturday's 109-104 win over Charlotte.
With LeBron James (rest) and Joel Embiid (foot) sidelined for this contest, Maxey stepped up to lead Philadelphia to its sixth win of the 2026-27 campaign. The 25-year-old got off to a hot start, and while he cooled off in the second and third quarters, he got back on track in the fourth by scoring 15 of his 38 points to seal the deal. Maxey has played at an MVP level, averaging a career-best 29.6 points along with 4.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.7 steals over 37.6 minutes per outing in seven regular-season appearances.

Jalen Johnson PF | ATL
Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Doesn't return to Saturday's contest
Johnson (ankle) did not return to Saturday's 121-99 loss to the Pelicans. He finished with 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one block over 28 minutes.
Johnson was on the court for the final seconds of the third quarter but didn't see the floor for the entire fourth. The Hawks were facing a large deficit, so the decision to keep him sidelined for the final quarter may have been a precautionary measure. Nevertheless, Johnson's injury status is worth monitoring heading into the Hawks' next game, which takes place Monday against the Pacers. If he were to miss time, then Aaron Wiggins and Luguentz Dort would likely be the top candidates to enter Atlanta's starting lineup.

Jalen Johnson PF | ATL
Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Leaves game with ankle injury
Johnson (ankle) is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Pelicans.
Johnson may have tweaked his ankle toward the tail end of the third quarter, as he was subbed out for Dyson Daniels for the start of the fourth. Aaron Wiggins and Luguentz Dort are both in line for more minutes while Johnson is out of the game.
-
Jock Landale C | ATL
Hawks' Jock Landale: Won't return Saturday
Landale (hip) won't return to Saturday's game against the Pelicans.
Landale only logged one minute Saturday before exiting the contest. His next opportunity to get back on the floor will come Monday versus Indiana. In the meantime, Asa Newell should see more playing time behind Onyeka Okongwu.

Cameron Carr SG | LAL
Lakers' Cameron Carr: Off injury report
Carr (oblique) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Raptors, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
Carr, the No. 24 overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft, has been cleared to make his regular-season debut Saturday following his recovery from a right oblique strain that he picked up during the preseason. It's not clear what his role in the rotation will look like, but he could see most of his minutes in the G League.
