  • Knicks' Miles McBride: Reiterates desire to remain with Knicks

McBride once again expressed his desire to remain in New York moving ahead, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

McBride is entering the final season of a three-year, $13 million contract. While the 25-year-old stated Wednesday that he would like to end his career with the organization, that may not be possible, considering Knicks' owner James Dolan is not willing to go into the second apron. McBride has appeared in 277 regular-season games since being drafted in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft, averaging 7.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 18.5 minutes per contest. The front office has some work to do and might need to get creative in order to keep McBride on the roster beyond the 2026-27 campaign. There's also a chance he will be traded during the season, though that will depend on how much the front office is willing to take back in a deal.

Warriors' Gui Santos: 'In the mix' for spot in starting lineup

Santos is "in the mix" for a spot in the starting lineup, Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Per head coach Steve Kerr, there will be "an open competition" for the three spots in the starting lineup alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Santos is coming off his best season with the Warriors in 2025-26. The 2022 No. 55 overall pick appeared in 68 regular-season games, including 30 starts, and averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists, all career highs, across 20.5 minutes per contest. While Santos could earn an opportunity to start come opening night, that may not last, considering Kerr has been known to change things up throughout any given season. The same is true if Santos begins the 2026-27 campaign as a reserve.

  • Jaxon Kohler: Omitted from camp roster

Kohler isn't part of Utah's training camp roster.

Kohler, who has committed to BYU for this season, is awaiting a court ruling regarding a fifth year of collegiate eligibility, per Jeremy Mauss of BYU Cougars Wire. Aaron Nkrumah: Left off camp roster

Nkrumah isn't listed on the Nuggets' training camp roster.

  • Xaivian Lee: Transfers to Gonzaga

Lee transferred to Gonzaga in August after receiving a temporary restraining order from the state of California, per Jeffrey Serber of The Independent Florida Alligator.

The former Gator entered the transfer portal and is now preparing for a fifth collegiate season. Lee agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Cavaliers after going undrafted earlier this summer, later participating in the Summer League with Cleveland, and he's looking to further bolster his stock with the Bulldogs this year.

  • Lamar Wilkerson: Cut loose by Thunder

Wilkerson was not included on Oklahoma City's 21-man training camp roster after previously agreeing to an Exhibit 10 deal with the organization during the offseason, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Wilkerson participated in Summer League with the Thunder after agreeing to the Exhibit 10 contract in June, but he won't be among the players opening training camp with the NBA club. He will likely end up with Oklahoma City's G League affiliate.

Saunders' (knee) role with Memphis remains unclear as the Grizzlies work through a roster crunch ahead of the regular season, according to Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.

President of basketball operations Zach Kleiman characterized the situation as "wait and see" Wednesday. Saunders was selected by Memphis in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft but remains unsigned, leaving his immediate future uncertain as the Grizzlies sort through a logjam at the back end of their roster.
