Draft Scouting Report
Pro Comparison: Bryce Hamilton
Summary
Hall is the definition of “buckets for sale; will travel for work.” The big-bodied wing has teleported from UNLV to George Mason to UCF to Auburn and tallied nearly 2,000 career points in college. He scores everywhere he goes but doesn’t stay for long.
About
- Third-team All-SEC in 2025-26.
- Second-team All-Big 12 in 2024-25.
- Second-Team All-Atlantic 10 in 2023-24.
Strengths
- One of the top isolation scorers in this draft class. Can get in a groove quickly with slick drives and can generate loads of rim pressure. Over 49% of his shots last year came at the rim, per Synergy.
- Hall just knows how to get fouled. He mixes craft, deceleration and straight-up confrontation to just build a tent at the free throw line. He drew over 6.0 fouls per 40 minutes in each of the past two seasons, and he’s nearly automatic from the stripe (86% in 2025-26).
- Hall has clunky mechanics on his jumper, but he’s become a better shooter every single year. At Auburn, Hall shot 38% from downtown on 169 attempts, including 42% on catch-and-shoot treys.
Weaknesses
- The defense is not an asset. Hall has been known to loaf on the defensive end, and he lacks anticipation on that end, ceding tons of straight line drives. While he has length and size, Hall’s heavy feet can show up more often than you want.
- His teams never really win. Hall put up enormous counting stats for the previous three seasons, but UCF, Auburn and George Mason all finished with .500 or lower records in conference play. He scores a lot, but does it impact winning?
- There are some concerns about his body – slimming down has been a priority through the years – and his willingness to adapt to a smaller role offensively. Hall can be a bit of a ball-stopper which raises concerns about his off-ball utility.
