  • Brandon Miller SG | CHA

Hornets' Brandon Miller: Won't play against Brooklyn

Miller (leg) is listed as out for Tuesday's preseason game versus the Nets.

Miller suffered a shin contusion during Tuesday's practice. Although there haven't been further details, his absence against the Nets is likely precautionary. The 23-year-old ended the 2025-26 campaign by averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting a career-high 38.3 percent from deep over 30.3 minutes per contest in 65 regular-season games.

  • Hornets' Christian Anderson: Battling ankle sprain

Anderson (ankle) won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Nets.

The Hornets are taking a cautious approach with the rookie first-rounder, who suffered an ankle sprain in practice. His next chance to play comes Sunday against the Bucks.

  • Warriors' Kristaps Porzingis: Remains out indefinitely

Porzingis (undisclosed) remains out indefinitely, per Anthony Slater of ESPN.com.

The Warriors still aren't ready to offer up a return timeline for Porzingis, who's battling an undisclosed issue. The big man carries plenty of upside on a per-game basis in the later rounds of fantasy drafts, but he's reached the 60-game mark just one time in the past eight regular seasons.

  • 76ers' Ariel Hukporti: Done for season

Hukporti has been diagnosed with a season-ending ruptured right Achilles tendon, per Shams Charania of ESPN.

Hukporti went down with an Achilles injury in Monday's preseason opener against the Knicks, and an MRI has since revealed a rupture. He signed a one-year deal with the 76ers over the summer, so Hukporti will be an unrestricted free agent come season's end. With Hukporti's year already finished, Adem Bona (foot) should assume the backup center role behind Joel Embiid.

  • Nate Ament PF | MIL

Bucks' Nate Ament: Eight points in preseason debut

Ament recorded eight points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and two rebounds across 14 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

The rookie forward made his preseason debut for the Bucks on Monday. Ament appears primed for an Opening Night role off the bench, but his fantasy appeal is likely to be limited in the early going while Milwaukee's frontcourt is healthy.

  • Koa Peat PF | PHO

Suns' Koa Peat: Sees 12 minutes Monday

Peat finished with four points (2-5 FG, 0-3 FT) and four rebounds in 12 minutes during Monday's 109-107 preseason loss to Detroit.

Peat saw a modest workload in his first NBA preseason action after an encouraging Summer League showing. The rookie first-round pick is competing for a reserve frontcourt role and should continue to receive opportunities throughout the preseason.

  • Bucks' Brayden Burries: Hands out team-high five assists

Burries recorded seven points (3-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and two steals across 16 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

The rookie guard made his first appearance at the professional level in Monday's preseason opener. After going 10th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, Burries should play an immediate role for the rebuilding Bucks but appears to be just a late-round flier for fantasy purposes in deep leagues this fall.

  • Zach Collins C | CHI

Bulls' Zach Collins: Limited at Tuesday's practice

Collins (toe) was a big part of Tuesday's practice, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.

Coach Tiago Splitter said Collins probably needs a bit more time before getting the green light to return. For now, he can be considered questionable at best for Wednesday's preseason game against the Suns.

  • Myles Turner C | MIL

Bucks' Myles Turner: Fills box score Monday

Turner recorded seven points (1-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 19 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

Turner provided a full stat line in Milwaukee's preseason opener Monday. The veteran center is a rumored trade candidate but has two years left of team control on his contract, including 2026-27, so the rebuilding Bucks might want to see Turner revert closer back to form from his time with the Pacers before considering swinging a deal.

  • Kings' Dylan Cardwell: Double-doubles off bench

Cardwell recorded nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block in 29 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason loss to the Lakers.

Cardwell was among Sacramento's first five reserves and grabbed four offensive rebounds while filling up the defensive stat sheet. The second-year big is competing for frontcourt minutes behind Domantas Sabonis after averaging 5.4 points and 7.5 rebounds during the 2025-26 regular season.
