  • Pelicans' Trey Murphy: Scores 11 points Tuesday

Murphy posted 11 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 19 minutes in Tuesday's 116-110 preseason win over the Thunder.

Murphy was one of five New Orleans players who scored in double digits in this comeback win, and he also made his presence felt with two steals. Expect the veteran forward to be a steady contributor for the Pelicans on both ends of the court when the regular season begins in late October.

  • Julius Randle PF | BKN

Nets' Julius Randle: Plays well in debut

Randle finished with 13 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 18 minutes in Tuesday's 124-90 preseason win over the Hornets.

Randle finished behind Michael Porter in scoring to lead the Nets to the win to begin the preseason. The 31-year-old, who was acquired by Brooklyn during the offseason, appeared in 79 regular-season games for Minnesota during the 2025-26 campaign. He played well, averaging 21.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.1 steals over 33.0 minutes per contest. Randle will have an opportunity to increase his statistical contributions in 2026-27, considering the Nets' roster is loaded with young, developing players.

  • Grayson Allen SG | CHA

Hornets' Grayson Allen: Nets 13 points with three treys

Allen contributed 13 points (4-6 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one assist over 14 minutes in Tuesday's 124-90 preseason loss to the Nets.

Kon Knueppel (hamstring) and Coby White (calf) won't play during the preseason, and if their injuries linger into the regular season, that could result in major minutes and a starting role for Allen. As a starter in Phoenix last season, Allen averaged 17.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 3.3 triples and 1.4 steals per game on 42/37/84 shooting splits.

  • Adou Thiero SF | LAL

Lakers' Adou Thiero: Starting vs. Golden State

Thiero is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

The Lakers are playing on the second leg of a back-to-back preseason set, so there's no reason to rest most of their starters. Thiero is vying for a spot in the frontcourt rotation, so he'll aim to make the most of this opportunity.

  • Bronny James PG | LAL

Lakers' Bronny James: Starting versus Golden State

James will start in Tuesday's game against the Warriors, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

James is fighting for rotation minutes ahead of the regular season. The 21-year-old is coming off another quiet campaign, averaging 2.9 points and 1.2 assists over 8.9 minutes in 42 regular-season games in 2025-26.

  • Lakers' Sandro Mamukelashvili: Starting Tuesday

Mamukelashvili will start in Tuesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

The Lakers have seven players inactive for Tuesday's exhibition, so Mamukelashvili could see reasonable minutes. Joining him in the first unit will be Bronny James, Quentin Grimes, Jake LaRavia and Adou Thiero.

  • Jaxson Hayes C | UTA

Jazz's Jaxson Hayes: Starting against Denver

Hayes will start in Tuesday's game against Denver.

Jusuf Nurkic (foot) is sidelined, so Hayes will start in the rematch with the Nuggets. The 26-year-old started nine times with the Lakers in 2025-26, averaging 12.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals over 27.4 minutes in those appearances.

  • Ace Bailey SG | UTA

    Jazz's Ace Bailey: Starting Tuesday

Bailey will start in Tuesday's preseason game against the Nuggets.

Bailey will get the start with Lauri Markkanen (neck) unavailable, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Keyonte George, Darryn Peterson, Jaren Jackson and Jaxson Hayes. It'll be interesting to see what Bailey's usage rate looks like in the first unit.

  • Arthur Kaluma PF | LAL

Lakers' Arthur Kaluma: Out again Tuesday

Kaluma (lower body) won't play in Tuesday's preseason game Golden State, Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Kaluma will miss a second consecutive preseason contest Tuesday. He's considered day-to-day, so he may be on the floor Thursday for the rematch with Sacramento.

  • Collin Sexton SG | LAL

Lakers' Collin Sexton: Won't suit up versus Warriors

Sexton (lower body) won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It's unknown if Sexton will be available to play during the preseason, though his next opportunity to get on the floor will come Thursday against Sacramento. The 27-year-old ended the 2025-26 campaign with the Bulls, averaging 17.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals over 26.0 minutes per contest in 26 regular-season games.
