  • Magic's Jase Richardson: Starting Wednesday

Richardson will start in Wednesday's preseason game against the Grizzlies.

Jalen Suggs (illness) and Anthony Black (ankle) are out for Wednesday's exhibition, so Richardson will start. Desmond Bane, Franz Wagner, Paolo Banchero and Wendell Carter will join Richardson in the first unit for Wednesday's game.

  • Jusuf Nurkic C | UTA

Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Out at least four weeks

Nurkic will miss at least the next four weeks due to a partial plantar plate tear of second toe in right foot, Chris Haynes of NBA TV reports.

Nurkic will begin the 2026-27 season on the sidelines, and given the tricky nature of foot injuries for big men, it wouldn't be shocking to see his absence extend beyond this initial four-week window. Jaren Jackson will likely spend more time at center while Nurkic is out, and there will be more minutes available for Jaxson Hayes and Mo Bamba.

  • Isaiah Stewart PF | MEM

Grizzlies' Isaiah Stewart: Won't play Wednesday

Stewart (ankle) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice and will not play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Magic, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.

Stewart is still being evaluated after sustaining a left ankle injury in Monday's preseason-opening win over the Hawks. The big man's next opportunity to play in the preseason will come against the Bulls on Friday.

  • Zach Collins C | CHI

Bulls' Zach Collins: Won't go Wednesday

Collins (toe) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Suns, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

Collins will remain sidelined for the Bulls' preseason opener, though head coach Tiago Splitter said he's close to returning, per Johnson. Collins' next chance to play in the preseason will come Friday against Memphis.

  • Pacers' Quenton Jackson: Playing in preseason opener

Jackson (undisclosed) is set to play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Timberwolves, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

Jackson didn't participate in Sunday's scrimmage, though he's set to return to action Wednesday. The 28-year-old is expected to provide backcourt depth for the Pacers in 2026-27.

  • Pacers' Larry Nance: Won't play Wednesday

Nance (hamstring) is out for Wednesday's preseason game against Minnesota, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.

The Pacers are allowing the veteran center to recover from a hamstring injury. His next chance to play is Saturday against the Hawks.

  • T.J. McConnell PG | IND

Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Sitting out Wednesday

McConnell (undisclosed) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game against Minnesota, per Tony East of Forbes.com.

It's possible that the Pacers are resting the veteran point guard. Saturday's meeting with the Hawks is his next chance to make his preseason debut.

  • Alex Caruso PG | OKC

Thunder's Alex Caruso: Good to go Wednesday

Caruso (rest) is set to play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Bucks, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Caruso sat out the Thunder's preseason opener but is set to return Wednesday. The veteran swingman saw a slight dip in playing time last season, averaging 6.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 18.2 minutes per game across 56 regular-season appearances.

  • Cason Wallace PG | OKC

Thunder's Cason Wallace: Set for action Wednesday

Wallace (rest) is in line to play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Bucks, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Wallace appears set to play after missing the preseason opener. The swingman is vying for a larger role on the wing after the Thunder lost Luguentz Dort over the summer.

  • Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Set to play Wednesday

Gilgeous-Alexander (not injury related) is set to play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Bucks, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Gilgeous-Alexander isn't included on the list of Thunder players who'll be held out of Wednesday's contest. Chet Holmgren (quadriceps) and Isaiah Hartenstein (ankle) will remain on the inactive list, though the rest of Oklahoma City's projected starters for 2026-27 are expected to suit up.
