Spurs' David Jones Garcia: Re-signing with Spurs
Jones Garcia (ankle) agreed to a two-way contract with the Spurs on Wednesday, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.com.
Jones Garcia is set for his second season with San Antonio in 2026-27, though most of his action is likely to come with the G League's Austin Spurs. He underwent ankle surgery in February, so it's unclear if Jones Garcia will be ready for full participation in training camp this fall.

Jalen Slawson SF | IND
Pacers' Jalen Slawson: Re-signing with Pacers
Slawson signed a two-way contract with the Pacers on Tuesday, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.com.
Indiana extended Slawson a qualifying offer in June, and the two sides have officially reached an agreement on a new deal. Preparing for his second season with the Pacers, the 2023 second-rounder figures to spend most of his time with the G League's Noblesville Boom in 2026-27.

Jalen Wilson SF | ATL
Hawks' Jalen Wilson: Lands two-way deal with Hawks
Wilson agreed to a two-way deal with the Hawks on Monday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.com reports.
A second-round pick of the Nets in 2023, Wilson will move on to a new organization after three seasons in Brooklyn. He was an occasional member of the Brooklyn rotation in 2025-26, averaging 6.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers in 15.9 minutes per game over 54 appearances. As one of Atlanta's three two-way players, Wilson will be little more than a depth option at forward and could end up seeing most of his playing time in the G League when the roster is at close to full strength.

Jett Howard SF | DAL
Mavericks' Jett Howard: Signs two-way deal Monday
The Mavericks signed Howard to a two-way contract Monday.
Howard spent the first three years of his career with the Magic. Even though he averaged career-high marks in minutes (12.6) and points (5.5) per game in 55 regular-season contests in 2025-26, Howard was unable to do enough to stay in Orlando. Howard should compete for playing time at the NBA level, but if he doesn't stick around in Dallas, he should be a regular in the G League thanks to his two-way deal.

Tyler Smith PF | DAL
Tyler Smith: Waived by Mavericks
The Mavericks waived Smith on Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
The transaction reduces Dallas' two-way contracts to two, leaving the team with an opening ahead of the new season. Smith will now be trying to find another opportunity elsewhere prior to training camp this fall.

Taelon Peter SG | SA
Taelon Peter: Let go by Pacers
The Pacers waived Peter on Monday, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
Indiana had four players under two-way contracts ahead of 2026-27 and can roster only three on such deals, leading to Peter being cut loose Monday. The 2025 second-rounder will now set his sights toward latching onto another team prior to training camp in the fall.

Matisse Thybulle SF | LAL
Lakers' Matisse Thybulle: Agrees to sign with Lakers
Thybulle agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the Lakers on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Thybulle spent parts of the last four years with the Trail Blazers, and he's now heading to the Lakers to bolster their depth on the wing. A midseason knee injury held the defensive-minded swingman to just 30 regular-season appearances last year, but he averaged a highly efficient 2.0 steals despite logging a career-low 16.0 minutes per game. Thybulle may not be trusted with a starting role in 2026-27, but he should handle a key role off the bench in the frontcourt.
