Brunson is set to undergo surgery on his left wrist/forearm area Tuesday and is expected to require at least two months of rehab, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. Brunson reportedly played through discomfort in this area during the Knicks' Finals run, and he'll undergo surgery before training camp begins in the fall. The superstar point guard is coming off an impressive postseason that culminated in a championship and Finals MVP honors. Over five Finals appearances against the Spurs, he averaged 32.6 points, 4.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 39.0 minutes per showing.

Brunson recorded 36 points (12-25 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 9-11 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and three steals over 44 minutes during Wednesday's 107-106 victory over the Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Brunson scored at least 30 points for the second straight game, as he continues to do everything humanly possible to bring the NBA title to New York. Despite some inefficient shooting, Brunson has remained calm and collected, highlighted by the improbable comeback Wednesday. Now leading the series 3-1, New York will head to San Antonio on a high, looking to wrap things up in five games.

Brunson registered 32 points (11-25 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds and five assists across 35 minutes in Monday's 115-111 loss to the Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Brunson put forth a valiant effort, leading the Knicks in the scoring column while tying Josh Hart for the team lead in assists. However, it wasn't enough to overcome 32 points from Victor Wembanyama and 23 points from Stephon Castle. Brunson has now put up 30 or more points in two of the first three games of the series and managed to bounce back from an ugly 7-for-25 showing from the field in Game 2.

Brunson put up 30 points (12-31 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 105-95 Game 1 win of the Finals in San Antonio. Brunson appeared to tweak his right knee during the first quarter and later twisted an ankle in the second, but he powered through both issues and said afterward that he'll be fine. The three-time All-Star delivered in the clutch for New York, scoring 13 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter, including a tough 14-foot pull-up jumper with 30 seconds remaining to help seal the victory. The Knicks are now 6-0 this postseason when Brunson scores at least 30 points.

Brunson (leg) has returned to Wednesday's Game 1 of the Finals versus San Antonio, Ramona Shelbourne of ESPN.com reports. Brunson briefly exited the game after Harrison Barnes fell back into his right leg, but after getting a quick checkup in the locker room, he returned to the game. It appears Brunson has avoided a serious injury.
