Olson isn't in Wednesday's starting lineup against Houston, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

Olson will get just his third day off all season. He's hitting .241 with 19 home runs and 46 RBI over 92 games as the All-Star break approaches.

Cabrera (elbow) is not in the lineup against Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Cabrera left Tuesday's game after aggravating a left elbow injury that he's been dealing with for the last couple weeks. In his place, Wilmer Flores will man second base while Dominic Smith gets a start at first. Consider Cabrera day-to-day ahead of Thursday's game.

Olson went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a double in an extra-innings loss to the Astros on Tuesday.

Olson's timely hit was part of a furious ninth-inning rally by the Athletics. The slugger has reached safely in all eight games of July and 10 straight contests overall, a stretch that includes six extra-base hits (four doubles, two home runs).

Dalbec went 4-for-4 with a pair of home runs and five RBI for High-A Salem in its 8-4 win over Winston-Salem on Tuesday.

Dalbec has exploded for six home runs over his last eight games, giving him a Carolina League-high 21 long balls for the campaign. The 23-year-old has proven himself as a premium power source in each of his four stops in the minors, but his swing-and-miss tendencies cast doubt on his ability to find consistent success against higher-caliber pitching. He has struck out in 30.2 percent of his plate appearances this season, which actually represents a seven-point improvement from his strikeout rate at Low-A Greenville last season.

Calhoun went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Mariners.

Calhoun's solo shot in the fifth was just his sixth of the year, but third since the start of July. The 30-year-old is still recovering from a brutal start to the season and his average (.180) and OBP (.232) are unsightly as a result, but he has been turning the page of late. He's hitting .310 over eight games in July and .273 in 66 at-bats since returning from the disabled list in mid-June.

Manager Mickey Callaway indicated Tuesday that Cabrera has been dealing with a hyperextended left elbow for a couple of weeks, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Cabrera exited Tuesday's game against the Phillies after aggravating the injury, but is apparently expected to be ready to go for Wednesday's series finale. It appears the Mets may try to limit the switch hitter's at-bats against left-handed pitching, as the injury presents more of an issue when Cabrera is hitting from the right side, according to Callaway. The team doesn't seem overly concerned at this point, but it still seems to be a situation worth monitoring as Cabrera is in the midst of a .280/.326/.485 season.

Blandino is getting a token start Tuesday against the Indians, playing shortstop and batting eighth. He's giving Jose Peraza a day off from the starting lineup.

Blandino is getting his first start since July 1, and has gotten only three at-bats since then. His reward for staying patient? A start against Trevor Bauer. He's hitting .221/.307/.279 on the season.

Rizzo is on the bench Tuesday against the Giants.

The first baseman has struggled lately, going hitless in his last three games and hitting just .224/.306/.303 over his last 20. Victor Caratini will start at first base in his place.

Bour is not starting Tuesday against the Brewers, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

Bour will sit for just the third time in the Marlins' last 54 games. Garrett Cooper starts at first base in his place.

Cron went 3-for-4 with an RBI single, two doubles and a run in an extra-inning win over the Tigers on Monday.

Cron has flipped the switch since the calendar flipped to July, following a forgettable June during which he hit just .130. He's hitting .500 (10-for-20) with five doubles, a home run, five RBI, two walks and two runs over the first six games of the new month, raising his season average 17 points to .250 in the process.
