The Marlins and Sanchez avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Thursday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Sanchez was in his second year of arbitration eligibility. The 27-year-old slashed .252/.313/.417 with career highs in home runs (18) and stolen bases (16) in 2024.
