Vikings' Tyler Batty: Lands on IR
The Vikings placed Batty (knee) on injured reserve Sunday, Tom Pelissero of Netflix reports.
Batty suffered a torn ACL during Friday's preseason loss to the Broncos and will now be forced to miss the upcoming season. He logged 12 tackles (nine solo) across 12 games with Minnesota last season and will now shift his focus to getting healthy for the 2027 campaign.

Batty missed the Vikings' first five games of the regular season due to a knee injury he sustained in training camp. He was activated off injured reserve Saturday and has been cleared to make his 2025 regular-season debut Week 7. Batty could serve in a prominent role at outside linebacker due to the absences of Andrew Van Ginkel (neck) and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins (hip).

Vikings' Tyler Batty: Designated to return
Batty (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve and practiced in full Wednesday.
The BYU product has missed Minnesota's first four games this season and was placed on injured reserve in late August due to a knee issue sustained earlier in the month. Batty has yet to appear in an NFL game after recording 59 total tackles, including seven tackles for loss, and two passes defended during his final collegiate season in 2024. He now has 21 days to be added to the Vikings' active roster before reverting to IR.

Vikings' Tyler Batty: Heads to IR
Batty (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Batty secured a spot on the 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent out of BYU, but he'll be required to miss at least the first four games before touching the NFL field. Through 13 games during his fifth season at BYU, Batty posted 33 tackles (26 solo), 1.5 sacks and two interceptions.

Batty will undergo an MRI on a right knee injury that he suffered during Friday's preseason game against the Titans, Emily Leiker of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Batty played just one defensive snap during Friday's preseason finale, and he'll go through more tests to determine the severity of his injury. He signed with the Vikings in May as an undrafted free agent and has been competing for a depth spot on Minnesota's 53-man roster for the 2025 season.
