  • Commanders' Nick Nash: Inks reserve/future deal

The Commanders signed Nash to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.

Nash spent time on the Falcons' practice squad in 2025, and he'll now get a chance to compete for a reserve role with Washington during the offseason. The wide receiver is still looking for an opportunity to make his regular-season debut.

  • Nick Nash: Remaining in Atlanta

The Falcons signed Nash to the practice squad Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.

Nash put together a 12/136/0 stat line across three preseason games. He wasn't able to crack the Falcons' 53-man roster, but the undrafted rookie out of San Jose State will remain in the organization as part of the team's practice squad. Nash is a candidate to be elevated to the active roster should the Falcons require depth at wide receiver.

  • Nick Nash: Let go by Atlanta

The Falcons waived Nash on Tuesday, Terrin Waack, Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the team's official site report.

Despite finishing second on the Falcons in catches (12) and receiving yards (136) across three preseason games, Nash will not be on the initial 53-man roster for the start of the regular season. The undrafted rookie out of San Jose State should garner some interest on the waiver wire, but he would be a candidate to remain in Atlanta on the team's practice squad were he to go unclaimed.

  • Falcons' Nick Nash: Trustworthy pass catcher in debut

Nash caught all three of his targets for 35 yards during Friday's 17-10 preseason loss to the Lions.

The undrafted rookie out of San Jose State played only 10 offensive snaps but was heavily involved during a drive in the third quarter. Despite the strong first impression, Nash has a long way to go to make the initial 53-man roster.

  • Nick Nash: Plans to sign with Atlanta

Nash is slated to sign with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.

Nash spent seven seasons with San Jose State, and in 2022 he transitioned from quarterback to wide receiver. The move proved to be the right decision, and in 2024 he was named Consensus All-American and to the First Team All-MWC after recording 104 catches for 1,382 yards and an FBS-leading 16 touchdowns in 12 games. If Nash does in fact sign with the Falcons, he'll look to establish himself as the go-to option out of the slot for quarterback Michael Penix.
