Falcons' Zach Harrison: Activated from NFI list
The Falcons activated Harrison (undisclosed) from the active/non-football injury list Friday, William McFadden of the team's official site reports.
The move comes after Harrison passed his physical Friday, putting him on track to participate in Saturday's training camp practice. The 2023 third-rounder was limited to seven regular-season games last year due to a knee injury and ended the 2025 campaign on injured reserve. Harrison is expected to start opposite Brandon Dorlus at defensive end, with Chris Williams and LaCale London working in rotation.

Falcons' Zach Harrison: Opening camp on active/NFI
The Falcons placed Harrison (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Wednesday.
Harrison suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 7 of last season but participated in the offseason program, so it's unclear if his placement on the NFI list is related to that issue. After logging 22 tackles (nine solo), including 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles across 57 percent of the defensive snaps when healthy last season, Harrison is expected to be a key member of the Falcons' defensive line rotation in 2026.

Falcons' Zach Harrison: Healthy for offseason program
Harrison (knee) participated in the Falcons' offseason program, Daniel Flick of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Harrison was well on his way to a career year in 2025, as he recorded a career-high 4.5 sacks through the first seven games, but he suffered a knee injury in Week 7 against the 49ers and missed the remainder of the 2025 campaign. Now healthy, the Falcons are relying on Harrison to help key the pass rush alongside second-year edge defenders Jalon Walker and James Pearce.

He played in just seven games this season, recording 22 total tackles, including 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass defensed. LaCale London will likely remain one of the Falcons' top defensive ends while Harrison is sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Falcons' Zach Harrison: Lands on injured reserve
The Falcons placed Harrison (knee) on IR on Saturday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
Harrison first hurt his knee in mid-October. He missed two games before returning to action in Week 10 against Indianapolis. However, Harrison sat again during Week 11 and had already been deemed out for this Sunday before being moved to IR. Atlanta coach Raheem Morris said Saturday that Harrison had a setback with his knee and will need to get the issue "fixed," which may mean the third-year pro is going to need surgery.

Falcons' Zach Harrison: DNP to start week
Harrison (knee) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Harrison has sat out three of Atlanta's last four games, and now his knee injury is threatening his status for Week 12. Unless he's able to get back to practice Thursday or Friday, it's not likely he's going to play Sunday at New Orleans.

Falcons' Zach Harrison: Not playing Week 11
Harrison (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Harrison was unable to practice Friday, and the third-year pro will be sidelined for the third time in four games due to a knee injury. His absence opens the door for LaCale London or Brandon Dorlus to move up into a starting role at defensive end opposite David Onyemata. Harrison's next opportunity to play is Week 12 against the Saints on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Falcons' Zach Harrison: Could play Sunday
Harrison (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Panthers, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Harrison downgraded from a limited practice session Thursday to a DNP on Friday, suggesting he's trending in the wrong direction ahead of Sunday's matchup. The third-year pro from Ohio State has been productive when healthy, recording 22 total tackles, including 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles over seven appearances this season. If he misses his third game of the season in Week 11, expect LaCale London to play an expanded role on the Falcons' defensive line.

Falcons' Zach Harrison: Limited participant in practice
Harrison (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Tori McElhaney of the team's official website reports.
Harrison upgraded to limited participation Thursday after not practicing Wednesday. The injury appears to be related to that which sidelined him for Weeks 8 and 9. However, Harrison's ability to play in Sunday's overtime loss to the Colts and his progression in practice this week implies Thursday's limited participation may be attributed to workload management. With limited participation or a full practice Friday, the 24-year-old should have a chance to play Sunday against the Panthers.
