Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Doesn't play in preseason finale
Kincaid was held out of Thursday's exhibition win over the Steelers.
Kincaid's absence was simply for rest and injury-avoidance purposes, as Buffalo sat out all of its key regular-season starters. Kincaid ended up playing in just one preseason contest, logging nine snaps without seeing any targets. He's slated to be a key target for Josh Allen in the passing game this season and will next take the field in Week 1 versus Houston on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Logs nine snaps in preseason win
Kincaid played nine snaps on offense but didn't show up in the box score otherwise during the Bills' 29-14 preseason win over the Panthers on Saturday.
Kincaid and Dawson Knox (10 snaps) saw limited action during Saturday's exhibition contest, with Keleki Latu leading the tight end group with 31 snaps on offense. Kincaid was limited to 12 regular-season games in 2025 while playing through a torn PCL that he originally sustained in November 2024. The 2023 first-rounder entered training camp with a clean bill of health and should see more involvement in the passing attack as a reliable set of hands/target for QB Josh Allen.

Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Resumes practicing after brief exit
Kincaid checked out of Monday's practice after he was slow to get up from a play during 11-on-11 drills, but he was able to return to the field for walkthroughs, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
After practice, Kincaid told Getzenberg that he didn't suffer an injury but needed a few minutes to recover after taking a knee to the "family jewels." Kincaid shouldn't face any limitations during future practices and will look to take on a greater role in the Buffalo passing game in 2026 if health prevails. The 26-year-old flashed explosive playmaking ability when available last season, leading all qualified tight ends with an average of 14.6 yards per reception over 12 regular-season contests.
