Jaguars' Chris Rodriguez: Minimal output again in Week 2
Rodriguez rushed six times for 13 yards in the Jaguars' 20-13 loss to the Broncos on Sunday.
For the second straight game to open the season, Rodriguez operated as the clear RB2 for the Jaguars behind Bhayshul Tuten, who rushed 13 times for 65 yards and a touchdown as the lead back. Tuten also out-targeted Rodriguez two to zero. Through two games, Rodriguez has a meager 36 yards on 12 carries, averaging a pitiful 3.0 yards per carry. He's not usable in fantasy ahead of a tough Week 3 date with New England.

Jaguars' Chris Rodriguez: Handles six carries in Week 1 win
Rodriguez rushed six times for 23 yards in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Browns.
Bhayshul Tuten got the start and out-snapped Rodriguez by a 28-23 margin and out-carried him 15 to six in one of the friendliest rushing environments the Jaguars will see all season after Jacksonville jumped out to a 31-0 lead early in the third quarter. The lack of volume and production from Rodriguez in this spot is concerning for his fantasy viability moving forward, as Tuten seemed to have the clear upper hand and averaged 4.4 yards per carry to Rodriguez's 3.8 mark. Tuten also caught a 22-yard pass, while Rodriguez didn't see a target. It was clear against Cleveland that Tuten is the preferred fantasy option in this backfield.

Jaguars' Chris Rodriguez: Healthy ahead of Week 1
Rodriguez currently is one of two healthy running backs on the Jaguars' roster along with Ameer Abdullah due to health concerns for Bhayshul Tuten (illness) and LeQuint Allen (undisclosed).
Allen is the only one of the quartet whose status for Week 1 appears to be up in the air, but Rodriguez nonetheless is poised for a regular role in Jacksonville's offense. What kind of workload that entails remains to be seen, but Tuten is Rodriguez's primary competitor for touches. At least when it comes to short-yardage and goal-line usage, the more imposing Rodriguez likely will handle those after earning 33 carries inside the 20-yard line last season for the Commanders. The Jaguars' season opener against the Browns on Sunday, Sept. 13 ultimately will provide insight into what to expect from the duo.

Jaguars' Chris Rodriguez: Lauded in camp for power running
Rodriguez has drawn positive reviews for his power-running style during training camp, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Signed to a two-year, $10 million deal in March, Rodriguez made a full recovery from offseason foot surgery in advance of training camp and has been listed as co-starter with Bhayshul Tuten on the Jaguars' unofficial depth chart. With both Rodriguez and Tuten sitting out Jacksonville's first two preseason contests, it's been difficult to gauge how the snaps might be divvied up between the two once the regular season gets underway. While Rodriguez has lived up to his billing in camp as a bruising runner between the tackles, Shipley relays that Tuten "has done nothing to diminish the early-offseason hype." With that in mind, both players appear likely to have meaningful roles in the running game Week 1 versus the Browns, and the two also could see more involvement on passing downs if LeQuint Allen (undisclosed) isn't available. Shipley opines that Rodriguez is probably the Jaguars' best pass-blocking back other than Allen, though Rodriguez could play second fiddle to the shiftier Tuten when it comes to earning targets.

Rodriguez had his most active practice of training camp thus far Thursday, according to John Shipley of SI.com.
Per Shipley, where Rodriguez, who took several carries in team drills, stood out the most Thursday was when the Jaguars ran plays backed up at their own 1-yard line, a scenario in which all of Rodriguez's carries went for positive yards during the session. Shipley adds that the free-agent addition, who profiles as a power back, could carve out a key role when it comes to goal-line carries, an area that fellow RB Bhayshul Tuten made his mark in last season. In any case, looking ahead to Week 1, a committee approach featuring Tuten and Rodriguez seems a likely outcome, with LeQuint Allen also in the mix to handle complementary backfield touches.
