Browns' Dylan Sampson: Remains sidelined Wednesday
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Sampson (hand/calf) is not in line to practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Sampson did not practice in any capacity prior to being ruled out for Cleveland's loss to the Bears in Week 15, his first missed game of the season. He'll have two more chances to get back on the practice field prior to Sunday's matchup against the Bills, though it's worth noting that Stefanski said all of the Browns' injured players are "trending in the right direction," per Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal. When healthy, Sampson will resume handling a change-of-pace role behind Quinshon Judkins.

Browns' Dylan Sampson: Ruled out for Week 15
Sampson (calf/hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bears, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Sampson will miss his first game of the season while managing a pair of injuries. His next chance to take the field will come Week 16 against the Bills. As long as Sampson is sidelined, Cleveland's main depth options behind top RB Quinshon Judkins will be Raheim Sanders and Trayveon Williams.

Sampson will miss back-to-back practices to begin Week 15, making his availability for Sunday's road matchup against the Bears look legitimately uncertain. Sampson impressed as a receiver during Cleveland's loss to the Titans in Week 14, securing five of six targets for 64 yards, but he appears to have picked up two injuries in the contest. The rookie fourth-round pick also rushed twice for four yards and lost one fumble. Sampson rushed twice for four yards and secured five of six targets for 64 yards in the Browns' 31-29 loss to the Titans on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Sampson played through a hamstring concern and delivered a standout effort as a receiver, finishing as Shedeur Sanders' second-most-targeted pass catcher while posting the team's second-highest reception total. Sampson matched a career high in receiving yards in the process, and he's now contributed at least five receptions on three occasions during his rookie campaign. Sampson should continue in his change-of-pace role alongside Quinshon Judkins in a Week 15 road clash with the 49ers.

Sampson (calf) is active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Sampson suffered a calf injury in Cleveland's Week 13 loss, and he didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday. However, he managed to retake the field Friday and will now suit up to face the Titans. Sampson should be in line for a handful of carries and a couple of targets while working behind Quinshon Judkins.

Sampson exited in the second half of this past Sunday's loss to the 49ers due to a calf injury that left him day-to-day. After not practicing Wednesday and Thursday, he was spotted in drills at Friday's session, which was enough for the Browns to give him a chance to play Week 14. Assuming he's confirmed active ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, Sampson will join Jerome Ford as the reserve RBs behind starter Quinshon Judkins.
